Cimbolas and Quenneville Fall

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Matas Cimbolas shoved all in for 59,000 from the button and got a call from big blind Francis-Nicolas Bouchard. Cimbolas held {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} and was behind {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The board failed to bring any help for the Lithuanian.

At another table, Troy Quenneville jammed under the gun for 58,000. Nan Hong called a couple of seats over.

Hong: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Quenneville: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Board: {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

That left Quenneville unpaired and busted.

Alvarado Takes Down Daurov

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In a three-bet pot between JC Alvarado in the cutoff and Aslan Daurov in the small, action was on the latter on a {3-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} flop. Daurov bet 19,000 and Alvarado called. On the {6-Clubs} turn, Daurov bet 49,000 and Alvarado called again.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Daurov checked. Alvarado slid 125,000 forward, a substantial part of his stack and enough to cover Daurov's stack of 105,000. The Russian used up one of his time bank chips before making the call.

JC Alvarado: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Aslan Daurov: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

Alvarado's rivered flush had cracked Daurov's aces and the Russian smashed his cards across the felt before making his exit.

Liberto Pays Nuutinen

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Justin Liberto defended big blind from a Jorma Nuutinen hijack open and check-called 8,500 on a {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked when the {7-Hearts} put a four-straight on board, and the river made the board even juicier as it paired with the {4-Hearts}. Liberto checked and called 23,500 but mucked upon seeing {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a boat.

Kitty Kuo Is "Going Crazy"

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Kitty Kuo
Kitty Kuo

Twitter-star Kitty Kuo, who finished 6th in last year's €10,300 kick off tournament for €101,500, was involved in three-way action with around 60,000 in the pot.

With the board reading {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}, Anton Wigg checked, Kuo bet 27,000, the player on the button called, and Wigg called as well.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and Wigg checked. Kuo bet 65,000, to which the button snap-folded. Wigg used one of his time bank chips before folding as well.

Kuo showed {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for the bluff, which received an appreciative chuckle from Wigg.

Steffen Sontheimer took a stroll earlier and just got back at the table when the cards were shown.

"I walk off the table and you go crazy!" said Sontheimer. Kuo laughed and stacked up the sizable pot to put her above 400k.
