Dong Guo Eliminated in 10th Place (HK$291,300)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Dong Guo
Dong Guo

Action folded around to Xuan Tan in the small blind. Tan asked to see how many chips short-stacked Dong Guo had, Guo moved his chips in front of his cards, and the floor was called, thinking Guo's gesture was an aggressive action.

Guo stated that he was just trying to show what he had left. Tan made things easy by placing a stack of chips in the middle, signaling a raise worth more than Guo had behind.

Guo, who had just a couple big blinds, said "OK," and pushed his chips forward.

Guo: {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Tan: {4-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and, with that, Guo was eliminated and an unofficial final table of nine has been set.

Guo received HK$291,300 for his 10th-place finish.

Chips Fly In On the Flop

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

There was a flop of {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades} on the table and Tianyuan Tang had checked to Avraham Oziel who had laid out a bet. Tang raised to 300,000 and Oziel fearlessly shoved all in.

After quite a bit of thought, Tang folded, giving Oziel the big pot and overtaking him in chips.

Artem Metalidi Eliminated in 11th Place (HK$291,300)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Artem Metalidi
Artem Metalidi

An open to 85,000 from Artem Metalidi was called by Aymon Hata. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Hata called another bet from Metalidi, this time for 100,000.

The {10-Diamonds} introduced itself on the turn and Metalidi led once more for 275,000. Hata then shoved all in and Metalidi called, putting himself at risk.

Hata: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Metalidi: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Metalidi had flopped two pair but Hata caught up on the turn with a better two pair, needing only a six to stay alive, Metalidi found no help with the river of {q-Diamonds} and hit the rail in 11th place, banking HK$291,300.

Soulier Scoops From Hata

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Fabrice Soulier
Fabrice Soulier

Fabrice Soulier open-shoved preflop for 585,000 and Aymon Hata made the call one seat over.

Soulier: {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Hata: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Hata had Soulier dominated but as luck would have it, Soulier paired his ten on a {4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} board, fading an up-and-down straight and a queen to move over the million chip mark.

Yan Li Doubles Into the Chip lead

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Yan Li
Yan Li

Dong Guo's open to 85,000 was met by a three-bet to 205,000 from Yan Li. Guo called and the two saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Things got quite frisky after. Li bet 300,000, Guo raised to 650,000, and Li three-bet jammed all-in putting herself at risk. Guo quickly made the call and was shown the bad news.

Li: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Guo: {q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Guo was in rough shape but the {10-Clubs} on the turn gave him a ton of outs. The river was a safe {10-Spades} for Li and she leaped into the chip lead with a massive double up.
