Canadian High Rollers Face Off

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

There was about 9,000 in the pot on a board reading {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Patrick Serda checked from the big blind.

Timothy Adams was under the gun and bet 6,700. Serda thought for a moment and decided to call.

The river was the {4-Spades}. Serda checked again, and Adams paused for about a minute before betting 12,700.

Serda weighed his options and eventually decided to call.

Adams tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for top two pair and Serda shaked his head and mucked his hand.

Serda recently came out ahead in a heads-up chop at the last-ever EPT High Roller in Prague several months ago, taking the most money and relinquishing the trophy to William Kassouf. He is well-known for his success online and has just shy of a million in live recorded cashes.

Adams has over four and a half million in cashes along with a WSOP bracelet, a Bellagio Cup High Roller win, plus a myriad of High Roller final tables on his resume.

Both of these Canadians are a force at the tables, so there will likely be some interesting hands played by the end of the night.

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

JC Alvarado and Mark Radoja have joined the field. Both players made a deep run in the main event but busted late on the day. Mark Radoja finished 14th for $20,860, JC Alvarado finished 13th and got the same amount.

Another player that started the day in the Main Event, Jason Koon, entered right after busting and has been in the High Roller for quite some time now.

Reixach Wins a Small One

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Sergi Reixach was first to act and raised to 1,700. In the hijack, two positions over on the short-handed table, Rafael Moraes three-bet to 4,500. Action folded back around to Reixach and he called.

Reixach check-called another 4,000 on {9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{4-Clubs} before they both checked the {3-Diamonds} on the turn. The river {3-Hearts} completed the board and Reixach bet out 11,000. Moraes folded right away.

"It Feels Like a Daniel Dvoress Kinda Night..."

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Jason Koon, Daniel Dvoress
Jason Koon, Daniel Dvoress

David Peters raised to 2,000 from the cutoff. Daniel Dvoress was in the big blind and three-bet to 6,800. Peters thought for a moment and moved all in for about 30,000. Dvoress wasted no time and called.

Dvoress: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Peters: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

In a classic race, Peters pulled ahead of Dvoress on a flop of {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

Before the {j-Clubs} hit the turn, Dvoress began cutting out chips to match Peters' stack, but the {10-Diamonds} hit the river and he scooped the chips back up as Peters hit the rail.

While Dvoress was stacking his chips, Jason Koon made a few comments and said, "It feels like a Daniel Dvoress kinda night, you know what I'm saying?"

Adams Doubles Through England

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams opened the cutoff to what appeared to be 2,000. His neighbor on the button, Brian England, three-bet to 5,700 which got them rid of both blinds. Adams called in position.

Adams and England checked on {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and the {5-Hearts} hit the turn. Adams bet out 6,800 and England called.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and Adams shoved for 32,100. England called, but mucked upon being shown {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Serda and Christner objected to the dealer mucking England's cards, but that did not help to get to know what England had called with as the cards were already gone.

Haxton Doubles Through Chen

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Richard Dubini raised to 1,700 from late position and Isaac Haxton moved all in for 19,300 on the button.

Andrew Chen was in the small blind and called. Dubini folded.

Haxton: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Chen: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Haxton was well behind Chen, but a five appeared in the window when the flop came {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and the river was the {j-Diamonds}, giving Haxton the double up he was looking for.

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Linde said his goodbyes.

Rocco Rakes One In

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

With about 7,000 in the pot, on a board reading {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Clubs}, Michael Rocco checked from the big blind.

Sergio Di Pego was under the gun and bet 2,200. Rocco check-raised to 7,200 and Di Pego called.

The river was the {10-Clubs}. Rocco thought for a minute and bet 6,000. Di Pego snap-called and Rocco tabled {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} for two pair, earning him the pot.

As he was raking in the pot, Rocco laughed and said, "I thought my cards were suited until the flop came out. Then I saw they weren't."

Troy Quenneville raised to 1,800 from the hijack and Rafael Moraes three-bet to 6,100 from the small blind. Francois Billard put in his remaining chips: 9,500. Quenneville and Moraes both called. The flop came {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}. Quenneville bet 6,200 when Moraes checked, and the latter called. They checked through the {q-Diamonds} and {4-Clubs}.

Moraes: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}
