Plesuv Takes from Helppi

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Pavel Plesuv raised to 2,800 first to act and Christopher Kruk in the cutoff as well as Juha Helppi in the big blind called. On the {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop all three players checked and a bet of Helppi for7,000 on the {5-Spades} turn was called by Plesuv only.

On the {6-Clubs} river, Helppi checked and faced a bet of 14,000 by Plesuv. After using one time bank extension, Helppi folded and Plesuv dragged in the pot to claim the lead at the table with some other big stacks around.

Latest Eliminations

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy and Timothy Adams are among those who are out of bullets.

Talbot Takes the Rest of Geilich

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Ludovic Geilich and Dominik Panka
Ludovic Geilich and Dominik Panka

Ludovic Geilich three-bet all in for what appeared to be 16,000 and said "I might have another beer" while Parker Talbot was still to act. Talbot called and flipped over his {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} while Geilich only flashed one of his cards, a queen.

"We should do this more often at the EPT's," the Scotsman joked and the dealer ran out the board of {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Talbot had gotten there with the ace on the river and Geilich eventually showed both of his cards, it was the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. On his way out, Geilich tossed over a bank note to Talbot and it remains unclear if this was for a sidebet or a new beer.

Setup Skyrockets Heath; Kanit Out

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

After a raise in middle position to 2,500, Ben Heath, on his reentry, made it 7,500 in the cutoff. Mustapha Kanit was on the button and four-bet to 20,500, which made the initial raiser fold.

Heath five-bet to 37,500, Kanit six-bet shoved for over 100,000 and Heath snap-called, having Kanit slightly covered.

Ben Heath: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Mustapha Kanit: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

Kanit found himself suddenly at risk and needed much help. Some of that came on the {9-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop but the second king remained in the deck on the {7-Hearts} turn and {10-Spades} river. A sudden end for the exuberant Italian, while Heath is up to 250,000.

Petrangelo and Greenwood Bust Opponents

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Within quick succession, two players departed from the table of Nick Petrangelo and Sam Greenwood to leave them five-handed and in need for fresh blood. The first to go was a short-stacked Marijn Van Puffelen, who got it in with {K-}{10-}. Petrangelo had the {K-Spades}{J-Spades} and the board came {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} to award the pot to Petrangelo.

Viacheslav Goryachev was unfortunate enough to river a set with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and called the shove of big stack Greenwood on the board {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Greenwood had turned the nut straight with {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} and sent the Russian to the rail. It was the second bullet for Goryachev and he won't be back anymore.

[Removed:565] on the Brink

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After losing a hand with a pair of jacks against a flopped two pair on a jack-high flop, [Removed:564] was down to his last 4,000. He put those in and got a call from the small blind. Hossein Ensan shoved 36,000 from the big blind and the small blind folded.

[Removed:564]: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Hossein Ensan: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

[Removed:565] got the triple up on {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades} but is still short.

Some Value for Jozonis and Pollak

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On the river of a board {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}, Antoine Saout bet 7,000 in the big blind and Benjamin Pollak raised to 19,000 from the cutoff. Sanout called and Pollak rolled over {J-Spades}{10-Spades} for a straight. "Sick river," Saout said in French and Pollak asked him if he had a set. Saout nodded and Pollak boosted his stack.

Anthony Zinno raised to 2,500 from the hijack and picked up two callers, Tomas Jozonis from one seat over and Franz Ditz in the big blind. The {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop brought a check, a bet for 3,200 by Zinno and Jozonis was the only caller. The {K-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river were checked and Jozonis won the pot with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.
