Toma Can't Look But Busts Kitai

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

Davidi Kitai raised to 70,000, leaving 10,000 back. Tsugunari Toma counted out his own stack and used a time extension and then moved all in. Action folded back to Kitai, and he took some time. Toma, apparently not sweating at all, walked over to the water station to grab a drink. Kitai tossed in calling chips and the players waited for Toma to hustle back before tabling the cards.

Toma: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Kitai: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Kitai had slightly the best of it but the {9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Spades} flop changed that. The {3-Spades} turn gave him a pile of outs to the river and caused Toma to walk away from the table, apparently unable to bear the sweat. The river was safe though: {7-Diamonds}.

Aido Doubles Pyzara

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Being first to act, Sergio Aido opened for 14,000. Kacper Pyzara called from the big blind, leaving himself 60,000 behind.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Pyzara checked. Aido moved in and Pyzara called instantly.

Sergio Aido: {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Kacper Pyzara: {8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts} on the turn made for some chop outs but the {Q-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Pyzara doubled.

Raul Martinez Eliminated

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

With 42 players remaining and 39 making the money, some people have opted to slow down a bit, running their clock down before folding. Everyone was well aware of the incoming bubble, that's for sure.

David Peters opened under the gun for 13,500 and Raul Martinez in the hijack three-bet to 32,000. It folded around to Peters who called.

Peters checked on {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Martinez bet 26,000 with about 70,000 behind. Peters tanked, ran down his clock till he had just 1 second left, and moved all in. Martinez called.

David Peters: {K-Spades}{7-Spades}
Raul Martinez: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The {4-Diamonds} on the turn and {3-Diamonds} on the river didn't help Martinez and the tournament was down to 41 players.

Greenwood Check-Raises the River

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Anthony Zinno opened under the gun for 15,000 and big blind Sam Greenwood called.

Greenwood and Zinno both checked on {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} and so the {3-Hearts} on the turn was seen for free. Greenwood checked again and called Zinno's 15,000 bet.

The {J-Spades} completed the board and Greenwood checked. Zinno bet 40,000 and Greenwood ran his clock down to 1 second before announcing a raise to 160,000. Zinno folded.

Joao Vieira

In the last hand before the dinner break, Joao Vieira opened for 15,000 under the gun and Sam Greenwood called from the hijack. Orpen Kisacikoglu called as well in the cutoff before small blind Ben Heath shoved for 248,000. After some tanking, Vieira called all in for less than Heath's stack, Greenwood called as well.

Sam Greenwood: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Joao Vieira: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Ben Heath: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{A-Spades}{7-Spades} and Heath almost tripled, busting Vieira and leaving Greenwood short.

Pyzara All In on the Bubble

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From the cutoff, Preben Stokkan opened for 17,000. David Peters in the small blind and Kacper Pyzara in the big blind both called.

All three checked on {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the {8-Spades} on the turn was seen for free. The blinds checked again and initial raiser Stokkan bet 40,000. Peters and Pyzara both called.

The {6-Spades} on the river made the board double paired and Peters checked. Pyzara shoved for 53,000 and Stokkan folded right away. Peters thought about it for a bit, shook his head some, and folded.
