Mateos Doubles Through Luca; Busts Alvarado After

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Adrian Mateos back on top of the counts
Adrian Mateos back on top of the counts

Ivan Luca's open-raise was followed by a three-bet of Adrian Mateos in the big blind and Luca four-bet all in, which Mateos called for 265,000.

Adrian Mateos: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Ivan Luca: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The board of {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts} left Luca with next to no chips, and he shoved the next hand for 14,000 from under the gun. Kitson Kho called out of the big blind for the second all in showdown in a row.

Ivan Luca: {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Kitson Kho: {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

While Kho got there with the {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, the {8-Spades} turn and {A-Spades} river run out gave Luca the better hand.

It only took a few moments and the action accelerated once again. JC Alvarado opened the cutoff for 17,000 with about 150,000 or so behind. From the button, Mateos moved all in having everyone behind him and Alvarado easily covered. The blinds quickly folded, Alvarado called just as fast.

JC Alvarado: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and just like that, with the wheel for Mateos, Alvarado hit the rail.

Quads for Schemion

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Albert Daher raised to 16,000 from under the gun and was called three ways by Orpen Kisacikoglu in the cutoff, Daniel Dvoress in the small blind and Ole Schemion in the big blind. The flop came {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Dvoress as well as Schemion checked. Daher bet 21,000 and received calls from Kisacikoglu as well as Dvoress.

Schemion check-raised all in for his last 64,000 and that forced out Daher. Kisacikoglu moved all in over the top to see Dvoress quickly ask for a count. The isolation was for 293,000, which represented almost the entire stack of Dvoress, who ended up using both of his remaining time bank extensions before folding.

Ole Schemion: {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

If there was any doubt over the outcome of the hand, the {3-Diamonds} on the turn put a deadlock on the hand for Schemion with quads. This made the {2-Hearts} on the river a formality and the German got back into contention.

Kruk Kaput

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel opened under the gun for 25,000 and his neighbor Christopher Kruk shoved for 159,000. Action folded to big blind Christoph Vogelsang and he asked how much it was. Upon finding out it was 20 big blinds to him, he over shoved. Thorel folded.

Christopher Kruk: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Christoph Vogelsang: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Kruk was eliminated.

Muehloecker Sends Fast to the Rail

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

Thomas Muehloecker raised from the button and Dietrich Fast called out of the big blind to see both players check through a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Fast bet 55,000 and Muehloecker took one time bank extension before calling.

The {2-Diamonds} appeared on the river and Fast took one time bank extension to check after one additional minute of consideration. Muehloecker moved all in for 175,000, which had Fast's 125,000 covered, and he took another two of his remaining three time bank extensions before calling it off.

Muehloecker showed {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a set of sevens and Fast mucked {9-Spades}{3-Spades} for two pair before exiting the tournament area.

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Mustapha Kanit opened the button for 16,000 and called Nick Petrangelo's big blind shove for just a few chips more.

Nick Petrangelo: {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Mustapha Kanit: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Petrangelo flopped extra outs with {4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades} and added some chop outs with the {7-Spades} on the turn, but the {8-Diamonds} on the river bricked and he hit the rail.

Three-Way All In; No Seat Open

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ole Schemion's raise to 14,000 in the hijack was followed by the shove of Albert Daher for 116,000 in the cutff and Oleksii Khoroshenin called on the button. Schemion used one time bank extension and moved all in himself, which Khoroshenin called.

Albert Daher: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Ole Schemion: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Oleksii Khoroshenin: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Schemion grinned and pumped his fist, while the rest of the table laughed. Daher had the worst of it preflop, but tripled up with a full house thanks to the board of {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. After paying off Daher, Schemion doubled his last 50,000 through Khoroshenin.

Vogelsang Doubles Through Machon

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Daniel Dvoress has grinded up his stack to 300,000 while Christoph Vogelsang just doubled through Bartlomiej Machon.

Vogelsang shoved for 80,000 and Machon in the small blind asked for the amount before announcing the call.

Christoph Vogelsang: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Bartlomiej Machon: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The board came {K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Machon almost got there with a gutshot.

Soon after there was another interesting hand on the same table that saw Jean-Noel Thorel limp in. Thomas Muehloecker raised to 21,000 and Thorel called. On the {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop both players checked and Thorel bet the {3-Clubs} turn for 21,000, Muehloecker called. After the {J-Clubs} river, Thorel checked and folded when Muehloecker made it 80,000 to go.

Several All In Showdowns In Quick Succession

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Down to the last three tables the players wasted little time to get their stacks in. Igor Kurganov was sent to the rail, as was Mikita Badziakouski, while Orpen Kisacikoglu and Albert Daher doubled up.

Daher doubled for 69,000 with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} against {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} as Dietrich Fast could not catch anything on a board of {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Up next was Kisacikoglu, who was at risk for 111,000 out of the big blind with the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Oleksii Khoroshenin on the button turned over the {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the board came {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Last but not least, Badziakouski shoved for 71,000 and Khoroshenin called from one seat over.

Mikita Badziakouski: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Oleksii Khoroshenin: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The board came {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and Khoroshenin recovered almost all of the chips he had just lost by sending Badziakouski to the rail.
