Adrian Mateos opened in the cutoff and Martin Staszko defended big blind. The Czech player check-called 2,000 on the flop. He checked again on the and Mateos barreled big with 7,500. That convinced Staszko to give it up.
The next hand, Jean-Noel Thorel opened in early position to 1,300 and Mateos made it 3,750 to go. That was enough to win him the pot uncontested.
Mateos' trademark aggression is working like a charm at the moment.
