Gatsko; Mikhail Manukyan and Konstantin Ramazanov all Gone

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Alexey Gastko was one of the players that entered before the start of Day 2 and was eliminated since. He was joined on the rail by Konstantin Ramazanov and Mikhail Manukyan.

Manukyan faced a limper and raised to 4,200 with Dmitry Chop calling from one seat over. On the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, Manukyan bet 7,000 and called the shove of Chop with ace-queen for two pair. Chop had {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for bottom set and the {3-Diamonds} turn and {J-Spades} river changed nothing anymore.

Ramazanov got it in with {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} of Aleksandr Zhilinskii and the board came {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} to leave Ramazanov empty-handed.

Huge Double for Khosravi; Ni Slides

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Lavrentiy Ni opened to 3,000 in the small blind and Arash Khosravi three-bet to 8,000 in the big blind. Ni then four-bet to 20,600 before Khosravi five-bet jammed for about 65,000. Ni thought for a few moments before committing to the call.

Ni: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Khosravi: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

A race was underway and the {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop was great for Ni. Khosravi slid his chair back and stood up as the {k-Spades} fell on the turn. Khosravi sheepishly slid back into his chair as the dealer delivered the {7-Hearts} on the river, securing the double up.

Tsogtjargal Yadamjav Doubles Through Chris Moneymaker

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Tsogtjargal Yadamjav open shoved for his last 11,100 from the hijack. It folded to Chris Moneymaker in the big blind who called.

Yadamjav: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Moneymaker: {k-Spades}{3-Spades}

Moneymaker was ahead pre-flop, and despite both players flopping pairs it was Yadamjav who flopped best as it came {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and the river the {5-Diamonds} handing Yadamjav a small but meaningful double-up.

Ghavam Busts Two

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Seyed Ghavam
Seyed Ghavam

Seyed Ghavam joined the chip leaders in the last levels of Day 1b by eliminating two opponents in one hand and just did so again. Short stack Denis Gashko was already all in when the board showed {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Maksim Bura checked out of the big blind. A fourth player in the hand also checked to Ghavam, who bet 7,500. Only Bura called and checked the {3-Spades} river.

Ghavam bet 25,000 and Bura had less than that left, called all in after some consideration.

Ghavam rolled over {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a full house and Gashko's {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} was revealed, Bura also joined the rail as his {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs} were no good.

Lomakin Back on Track

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After a limp by Hazret Nebejev, Natalia Panchenko raised to 5,000 and Sergey Lomakin shoved for 22,200. Nebejev called and Panchenko reluctantly folded.

Sergey Lomakin: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}
Hazret Nebejev: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board came {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Lomakin more than doubled, then won another big pot without showdown against Panchenko to get back where he started into the day.

Van Thach Vu Steals From Wheeler

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Van Thach Vu looks to be a tricky customer as start of day chip leader Jason Wheeler is discovering.

Vu was under the gun in a pot against Wheeler on a flop of {9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Vu check called a bet of 2,900 from Wheeler and the dealer burned and turned the {6-Hearts}. Vu changed tack to lead for 4,000 and Wheeler surrendered with little hesitation.

Aces vs Kings at the Feature Table

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Roman Tutoyan raised to 2,200 from the hijack and Rustam Kuliev three-bet all in for 16,600. Tutoyan called.

Tutoyan: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Kuliev: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

It was a cooler at the feature table, and the flop came {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Tutoyan remarked how he only had one out, but was swiftly corrected by tablemate Chris Moneymaker who reminded him that the flush was irrelevant. The river was the {q-Clubs} and Kuliev doubled up.

Grospellier Thriving

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Daniil Goldshteyn opened to 2,200 and Bertrand Grospellier three-bet to 5,300 from one seat over, which Goldshteyn called. On the {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop, Goldshteyn checked and check-raised to 12,000 with a stack of 20,000 before calling the shove of Grospellier.

Daniil Goldshteyn: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Bertrand Grospellier: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The {Q-Clubs} turn and {5-Spades} river failed to improve Goldshteyn and he was eliminated.
