Shimoni Makes the Right Decision; Wrong Result

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In a three-bet pot, Kakoun Meir open jammed for 14,400 when first to act on a {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. His opponent Shlomi Shimoni thought about his decision, gesturing wildly whilst contemplating the call. He agonized for his decision for a while before cascading the chips out of his hand into the middle to indicate a call.

Meir showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} and Shimoni showed {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and seemed happy that he'd made the right call. However, he slammed the table angrily as the {10-Spades} rolled off on the turn, and the {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.
