Iacob Eliminated by Goeschel

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

A player opened to 1,200 in middle position. Marc Goeschel flatted in the small blind before Adrian Iacob moved all in for 10,500 from the big blind. The initial raiser folded and Goeschel called.

Goeschel: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Iacob: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and by the time the {q-Hearts} came on the turn Iacob had already gotten to his feet. The dealer added to the tension somewhat as he paused after burning before the river, and then swiftly turning over the {j-Hearts} to seal Iacob's fate.

Samoon Bests Two Players

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

The full board of {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds} was spread in front of three players, with both Mayan Shih and Yakov Samoon checking to the third player in the hand Adrian Lazar who bet 6,500. Shih called and then Samoon called behind him.

Lazar showed {6-Spades}{9-Spades} for nine-high. Shih showed {a-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a pair of aces, but Samoon had them all beat with {j-Spades}{q-Clubs} for trip queens.

"I knew I had him," said Shih, pointing to Lazar, "Just...f*** the Queen, man!"

Fabian Scoops Six-Bet Pot

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

After a raise from Samuiel Ionel Stan from early position and a reraise from Stefan Fabian in middle position, it was back on Stan. He four-bet to 6,500, which was met by a five-bet to 12,700 from Fabian. Stan wasn't done yet, as he cut out a six-bet to 20,000. Fabian called the extra chips to see a flop.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the {J-Hearts} turn, Stan bet 7,000 and Fabian called. The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Stan checked. Fabian moved all in, which was for effectively Stan's remaining 23,000. The Romanian grimaced when Fabian put his stack in the middle.

"Pocket jacks?" Stan asked, but Fabian didn't respond. After contemplating some more, Stan couldn't find a call and surrendered the pot to Fabian.

Altundag's Aces Hold Against Iancu

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

The player under the gun limped, as did Ceyhun Altundag and four others. Leontin Iancu was in the big blind, and he squeezed to 8,000. The under the gun player folded and Altundag moved all in. It folded back around to Iancu who called all in for his last 19,000.

Iancu: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Altundag: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Altundag's Aces sent Iancu to the rail shortly before the second break of the day.

Linas Pugzlys Comes from Behind to Secure a Double

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,500 and the player on the button called. Linas Pugzlys was in the big blind and three-bet to 5,500 from a stack of 19,100. The initial raiser moved all in and the button folded. Pugzlys called and was all in.

Pugzlys: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Pugzlys was behind, but the flop was near perfection for his hand coming {7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. His opponent still had outs to a jack, or a backdoor flush, but the {k-Diamonds} on the turn gave Pugzlys a lock on the hand and the {8-Spades} was meaningless.
