Alan Gilmore Shoves On Buckley

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Alan Gilmore was looking at the turn of a board reading {4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts} and facing a bet of 17,200 from Mark Buckley.

Gilmore furrowed his brow and seemed lost in thought for a while before he declared all in and had the red triangle thrown in from of him.

Buckley didn’t look delighted. He folded to the shove and took the hit to his stack.

Tussle at Table One

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Teunis Kooij
Teunis Kooij

There is an almighty tussle for the chip lead going on at table one between Teunis Kooij and Yuriy Boyko.

Kooij is sat in seat six and has position on Boyko in seat five. With just over two levels left it appears highly likely that the chip leader at the end of the day will come from the pair of them.

However, poker is a strange game, and there is plenty of time for another player out in the field to mount a late surge.

Zikai Li Grabs From Mark Buckley

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Zikai Li
Zikai Li

Mark Buckley opened the action and picked up a call from Zikai Li.

The flop was {6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Li check-called a 2,000 bet from Buckley.

They both checked the {a-Diamonds} turn and on the river {k-Hearts} a bet of 7,500 from Li saw Buckley fold and show his {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Li is grinding out his stack and won a welcomed pot while Buckley only took a little hit to his big stack.

Sebastian Delorean Gets Chips for the Future

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Edward Dark raised to 2,700 from early position and Sebastian Delorean three-bet all in for 8,400 from the small blind. Dark called and the cards were turned over.

Edward Dark: {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Sebastian Delorean: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Delorean's Big Slick held to give him a crucial double up late on Day 1A.

Players are going on a 15-minute break, their final break of the day. When they return there will be three 45-minute levels separating them from Day 2.

Happy Gilmore

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Alan Gilmore opened the betting and picked up a call from Michael Mazilu who has been very active all day.

The flop was {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Gilmore check-called a bet of 5,000. The turn was the {7-Spades} and it was another 5,000 check-call from Gilmore.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and a final check saw Mazilu bump it up to 11,500. Gilmore gave it some thought before he called.

He was happy he did call as Mazilu showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and the {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} of Gilmore took the pot as another player complimented him with, “Nice call.”

“Kings again, and again a horrible board,” Gilmore said as he collected the chips.

Teunis Kooij Loves Dublin

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Last week Teunis Kooij final-tabled the Winamax Poker Open, finishing 5th for €23,000. He's now up to well over 150,000 in chips and is potentially the chip leader at this point.

In a stunning coincidence, the player to his left Michael O'Sullivan also ran deep in that same event last week, finishing 7th for €12,000. The pair will be hoping for another deep run in this tournament.
