Meinberg Lets Leu Go

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jan Meinberg raised to 1,600 from mid-position and was called by Sven Leu in the hijack and [Removed:65] in the big blind.

The dealer flopped {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} open for them and [Removed:72] checked, Meinberg bet 3,200 and Leu called. [Removed:72] folded.

They both checked through the {4-Clubs} on the turn to the {K-Clubs} on the river. Meinberg was drumming his fingers on the tables and the dealer thought he had checked. Meinberg was quick to contradict this and explained he was just trying to think about what to do. He quickly held his hands in front of him without moving anything.

After some careful consideration, he decided to bet 5,000. Leu looked at his chips, grabbed some 5,000-value chips and then raised to 15,000. Meinberg, who had his cards in front of him, neatly next to each other, put his hole cards on top of each other and then put them over the line to fold.

Bach Continues with Miracle

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Salvatore Camarda has been eliminated and Daniel Peche is also no longer in contention.

Florian Bach, who was down to a mere 300 chips earlier, has worked that back up to more than the starting stack and just chopped a pot with Erkan Sonmez when both had a baby ace on the board of {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

The flop read {6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Daniel Montagnolli (big blind) check-called the 1,800 bet of Rishi Bhasin on the button.

The turn brought them the {7-Spades} and Montagnolli check-called again when Bhasin bet 3,700.

The river completed the board with the {A-Hearts} on which they both checked. Bhasin showed {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a pair of queens and the pot.

Gevorgian Down But Not Out

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

[Removed:65] doubled his short stack for 11,000 with {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} against the pocket sevens of Gevorg Gevorgian after the {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop gave him the nut flush right away.

The next hand, Salvatore Camarda limped and Gevorgian moved all in for his last 7,600. Jonas Wohlgemuth called in the cutoff and all remaining opponents including Camarda folded.

Gevorg Gevorgian: {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Jonas Wohlgemuth: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The board of {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Clubs} gave Gevorgian two pair and he remained in contention.

Haneberg on Top; Montagnolli Back in Business

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Andre Haneberg thrones atop the counts while Daniel Montagnolli busted not one but two Danish opponents in quick succession.

With the newly earned chips, he called a raise to 2,000 by Toni Vardjavand and the flop fell {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Vardjavand checked and called a bet of 2,200 by Montagnolli before checking again the {5-Clubs} on the turn. Montagnolli made it 6,600 to go and Vardjavand folded.

One hand later, Vardjavand raised to 2,000 again and Montagnolli called. Rishi Bhasin had other plans and three-bet to 8,000, forcing folds from all opponents.

Kopyl No More; Chinphanitkit Wins a Flip

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Daniel Montagnolli took a short break to "get rid of the tilt" and scooped a pot right away, while Waldemar Kopyl was spotted at the bar in a discussion with Jan Timo Jobmann.

Florian Bach doubled his short stack once more and on the same table, Thanat Chinphanitkit also just doubled. He was all in for 9,400 from under the gun and Wilhelm Isaak called from two seats over in the hijack.

Thanat Chinphanitkit: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Wilhelm Isaak: {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{A-Spades}{3-Spades} and Chinphanitkit dodged the over cards and straight draw to remain in contention.
