When we hear that a PokerStars Festival Cup event has come to an end, we usually assume that Sander van Wesemael has won it. After all, the young Dutchman took down three consecutive events (the Marbella Poker Cup, Lille Poker Cup, and Barcelona Poker Cup) throughout June, July and August in 2017.
But seeing as Van Wesemael let someone else have a chance in Dublin (Ankit Ahuja took that one down), it wasn't too surprising to discover we had a first-time winner here in Hamburg too.
Francesco Delfoco was sent to the rail while Fredrick Andersson re-entered just before the end of the level.

On the river, Derkowski moved all in for 21,575 and Belov reluctantly called to see his opponent turn over for a full house, Belov only had .
Sven Leu raised to 1,300 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Christian Freimuller in the cutoff.
The came on the flop and now Leu bet 1,600. Freimuller called.
They both checked through the on the turn to the on the river. Leu decided to check in this instance but Freimuller bet 4,000 without much hesitation. Leu tanked but then called. Freimuller showed for top pair and that enough for Leu to throw his cards into the muck.
