Rudolf Köster
Rudolf Köster

While Fabian Demand was eliminated in 31st place, Rudolf Koster scored an urgently needed double to remain in contention and help himself back above the current average.

Johannes Schulze raised to 40,000 and chip leader Peter Jaksland called in the hijack. Koster moved all in from the button and Schulze asked for a count. The shove was for 264,000 and Schulze moved in over the top. Now it was Jaksland that asked for a count and Schulze's all in was for 517,000 in total, which proved to be too much for the Dane.

Johannes Schulze: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and Koster doubled.

Karolis Domarkas

The pot already had about 130,000 in it and the board read {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Karolis Domarkas (big blind) bet 44,000. Maximilian Silz (cutoff) called and so did Jamil Omar from the button.

The river completed the board with the {10-Spades}, Domarkas now bet a stack of blue 25,000-value chips worth around 275,000. Silz quickly folded.

"You're so lucky." Omar said to Domarkas. "I would kiss you if that ten was a heart!: Omar said laughingly to the dealer. The dealer just smiled.

Jaksland and Domarkas At the Top

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Peter Jaksland raised to 40,000 and Johannes Schulze defended his big blind. On the {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop, Schulze checked and moved all in over the top of a 40,000-bet by Jaksland to receive a snap-call by the Dane.

Johannes Schulze: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Peter Jaksland: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The {3-Clubs} turn and {7-Spades} river were a mere formality and Schulze was eliminated. Moments later Daniel Niemitz was ousted by Karolis Domarkas, who remained close to Jaksland at the top of the counts.
