Mittertreiner Running Smoothly

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Francois Mittertreiner
Francois Mittertreiner

The live reporting team just saw Francois Mittertreiner stack up a bunch of chips and his friend showed us the photo of what had happened. Mittertreiner himself turned around to tell us the story of the hand against Kyriakos Mitsopoulos:

"5,400 bet with 4 callers pre-flop. The flop came {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, he bet 13,200, I raised to 29,200, he three-bet me. I shoved, he called. I had {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} but he had {10-}{10-}. The turn was the {q-Clubs} and the river was the {9-Hearts}. So I hit runner-runner straight."

Keles Sends Crevena Packing

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Alaettin Keles raised to 6,000 and called the shove of Alessandro Crevena for 23,000.

Crevena showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Keles had two live cards with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop improved Keles and he locked up the hand with the {9-Hearts} turn, making the {5-Spades} river a formality.

Horecki Above Starting Stack

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Marcin Horecki
Marcin Horecki

The board read {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and the pot already had about 50,000 in it. Norbert Seefeldt had checked from the cutoff. PokerStars Team Pro Marcin Horecki shoved, from the button, for 29,000 in total and Seefeldt tanked. After thinking for a while he decided to fold.

"Phew" Horecki sounded out. He showed the {7-Clubs} as one of this whole cards and then started stacking his chips up.

Pauls Thrives Early On Day 2

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Christian Teubner got his last 25,000 in with the board reading {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Ulrich Pauls looked him up. Teubner had the {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and was vastly dominated by Pauls' {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. The {3-Diamonds} even gave Pauls a flush and Teubner was gone. Below are further early casualties of Day 2.

Derkowski Busts to Becker

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Grzegorz Derkowski
Grzegorz Derkowski

Tim Becker was moved to table 17 not long ago to fill the vacant one seat and was among two players to call the shove for 29,000 by Grzegorz Derkowski, the other one was Joseph Lalor. On the {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, Becker moved all in for around 60,000 and Lalor let go.

Grzegorz Derkowski: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Tim Becker: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The {9-Clubs} turn and {6-Clubs} were of no help and Derkowski was eliminated. Felix Schneiders on the same table enjoyed a good start and has doubled his stack without showdown.

Adamkiewicz Knocks Out Khanafer

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Moussa Khanafer raised to 18,000 from the under-the-gun position and action folded to Rafal Adamkiewicz in the big blind. Adamkiewicz checked out how much Khanafer still had behind. Khanafer pushed out his stack to make it more visible for Adamkiewicz. Adamkiewicz shoved and Khanafer called.

Rafal Adamkiewicz: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Moussa Khanafer: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades} - no help for Khanafer as he was knocked out of the tournament.
