Fabian Fleischmann Bubbles the Main Event

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Fabian Fleischmann Bubbles the Main Event
Fabian Fleischmann Bubbles the Main Event

Johannes Schulze raised to 275,000 from the cutoff, having everyone behind including PokerStars Team Pro Marcin Horecki in the small blind easily covered. Fabian Fleischmann was in the big blind and had stalled the last ten hands. That reduced his stack to a mere 10,000 in total and if he would have folded, he'd be forced all in from the small blind the next hand.

He called with the words "I guess you gotta experience everything once, even the bubble boy atmosphere" and the table waited until everyone was done with their current hand. Once that was the case, the cards were tabled.

Fabian Fleischmann: {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Johannes Schulze: {K-Spades}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Fleischmann briefly sat back down after the river before realising that he was indeed the bubble boy.

Zazai Busts Two; Flurry of Bust Outs

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After the bubble had burst the "seat open" calls could be heard all over the tournament floor.

Hamis Zazai raised to 12,000 from mid-position. Joachim Karstens shoved all in from the hijack for 38,000. Vladimir Zaplava also shoved from the cutoff but he had less with 22,000. The rest folded and action was back on Zazai. Zazai asked for a count of Karstens stack and the dealer confirmed the amount. Zazai folded.

Joachim Karstens: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Vladimir Zaplava: {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} - no help for Zaplava as he was eliminated. Karstens was eliminated a few hands later but the details of that hand are unknown.

Sachse Scrapes Into Next Payout Step

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Patrick Sachse scraped into the money with 5,000 after receiving a two-hand penalty for folding out of turn. He spun that up to 30,000 before busting within two hands.

Sachse shoved from under the gun with the {J-Spades}{9-Spades} and two other players called, one had {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Daniel Niemitz showed the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} to triple up on a board of {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The next hand it was Sami Jacobs that raised from under the gun and forced out everyone else, while Sachse was forced all in for 3,000 in the big blind.

Patrick Sachse: {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Sami Jacobs: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The board came {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and that was it for Sachse.

Set-Under-Set Debacle for Hornung

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Maximilian Hornung
Maximilian Hornung

Raffael Targowski raised to 16,000 and Maximilian Hornung called on the button, as did Alaettin Keles in the small blind and De Han Kim in the big blind.

The flop fell {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} and the action was checked to Hornung who bet 44,000. Keles check-raised to 125,000 and Kim as well as Targowski folded. Hornung moved all in for what appeared to be 390,000 in total, and Keles snap-called.

Maximilian Hornung: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Alaettin Keles: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Neither the {A-Hearts} turn nor the {Q-Diamonds} river brought a miracle for Hornung and he was sent to the rail.

Sigel Doubles Haran

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Shachar Haran raised from early position and called once Jan Sigel pushed all in from the cutoff, having everyone easily covered. Haran called for 115,000 and both players turned over pocket pairs.

Shachar Haran: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Jan Sigel: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

Haran stood up from his chair, afraid of the run good of Sigel who had climbed to more than 1.2 million already. However, the board came {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Haran doubled.

[Removed:72] Busts to Pauls

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Thomas [Removed:72]
Thomas [Removed:72]

Once the bubble burst, Ulrich Pauls went on a wild ride and his stack took a toll. Down to around 190,000 he was in a heads-up pot to the {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and the stacks went in with [Removed:72] calling as player at risk for 150,000.

Thomas [Removed:72]: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Ulrich Pauls: {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Pauls shook his head and nothing changed with the {K-Spades} turn, however, the {6-Diamonds} river gave him two pair and [Removed:72] was eliminated.

Celenza Runs Out of Chips

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Claudio Celenza
Claudio Celenza

Joining the action on the flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Claudio Celenza bet 25,000 in the hijack and Andrei Nodea raised to 60,000 on the button. Celenza moved all in and Nodea stared at the tournament screen before calling with a near identical stack.

Claudio Celenza: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}
Andrei Nodea: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The {A-Diamonds} turn and {4-Spades} river were blanks and the stacks were counted, Celenza was indeed covered by a few blinds and was sent to the rail.
