Jake Cody opened the action for 400 and got a call from a player called Joe on the button before Wenbin Chen in the small blind raised to 2,500.
It’s been a rough day so far for the Pokerstars Team Pro with his stack dwindled to 8,100 and this was one hand he wanted no more part in as he threw his cards away.
Joe made the call and it went to a flop of . Chen bet a small 1,500 which didn’t deter Joe who made the call. The turn card was the and they both checked. On the river card Chen checked for a final time and a bet of 5,100 from Joe took the pot.
PokerStars Team Pro Jake Cody has just been eliminated from the PokerStars Festival High Roller and he recounted his exit to PokerNews as he headed from the poker room.
Cody opened under the gun for 800 with Ace-Queen and got a call from the player to his left and one other player. The flop was Queen-Six-Seven and Cody bet 1,600 getting one call from his neighbour.
The turn was the putting two flush draws on the board and Cody moved all in for 6,000. His opponent called holding Aces and a blank river saw Cody eliminated.
Shortly after he was joined by Felipe Ramos as the action hots up.
The waiting line to get into the tournament before the dinner break is becoming slightly longer and more prominent. Philipp Gruissem, Igor Kurganov, Liv Boeree, Sergev Lebedev and Felipe Ramos are all waiting to get a seat. With now more than 150 entries, the Hippodrome Casino is bursting as the other tournament areas are still hosting some side events.
Darren Delahunty, who finished 20th in the last ever EPT Main Event in Prague last December, just scooped a decent pot and showed the nuts to Jean Paul Zaffran. It was Kent Ove Roed who opened to 1,000 and Delahunty, Zaffran in the cutoff and Jimmy Guerrero in the big blind called.
The flop of was checked to Roed and he continued for 2,625. Delahunty called and Zaffran then raised to 6,800. Guerrero and Roed folded, whereas Delahunty tossed in the extra chips.
After the turn, Delahunty check-called a bet worth 4,600 before the river completed the board. Delahunty moved all in and the Brit moved all in. Zaffran eventually folded and Delahunty flashed . "Would you have shoved if I check?" he asked his opponent but Zaffran didn't reply.
The stack of Rodrigo Strong has been halved and the Brazilian was soon after moved to a different room. Before that happened, he lost a big pot to Ian Nelson after trying to get his opponent out of the hand on the turn. Strong's shove was called by Nelson with for the overpair, while the Brazilian had for the nut flush draw.
Neither a diamond nor the ace, but rather the blank appeared on the river and Nelson doubled for 23,125.
Neophytos Neophytou moved all in from early position for 8,575. Victor Ilyukhin behind him moved all in too with a bigger stack but there were no more callers.

The board ran out with Neophytou saying, “Sorry mate.” as the turn card hit his ace.
“Don’t worry. The usual.” Was Ilyukhin’s baleful reply as he handed over the chips.
On the heads-up turn of , Adrian Allain bet 3,500 and Thomas Winstone check-raised to 8,000 from early position. Allain called and then faced the bet worth 12,000 by Winstone on the river. Allain eventually folded after plenty of consideration and later said he had ace-ten.
Hand 2
One hand later, Winstone took down a small pot with for top pair against the second pair of Elias Abou Saleh before the last hand of the level provided fireworks. Slaven Popov raised to 1,300 and Saleh shoved for 9,450 from two seats over on the button. Winstone sat in the big blind and tossed in 15,500, thinking he had called. Popov reraised all in and Winstone asked for a count. Once it was determined to be 18,075, the Brit called to create a three-way all in.

The board came and the flush on the board played, as none of the players involved had any hearts - chop it up!
"He talked about taking the re-entry for quite some time, so I figured I was ahead of him," Winstone said after the hand was over and everyone headed into the dinner break.
