Chris Da Silva Disappointed To Be Out

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Chris Da Silva has just been eliminated and he talked us through what happened.

The real damage was done a couple of orbits ago with a small pot preflop and Da Silva came along in the small blind with pocket sixes. The flop was {6-}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and when the original raiser checked a bet from the player on the button saw Da Silva call and the other player fold.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and a check again from Da Silva saw his opponent bet 75,000. Da Silva moved all in and his opponent called and tabled {k-Spades}{q-Spades} and got up from his seat.

The river {a-Spades} though had him sitting down again as the flush got there leaving Da Silva with 37,000.

He managed to run that up to 140,000 before his exit hand. He defend his big bling with Ten-Nine against an opener who had King-Seven. Da Silva hit a ten on the flop and was hoping to check-raise all in but the c-bet didn’t come.
A king came on the turn and Da Silva check-called on the turn and the six river to bust.

Da Silva was particularly disappointed as he felt he was playing well and had been on the same table all day. In jest he vowed to quit the game.
