Farrell Check-Raises Turn

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Niall Farrell check-called a bet from Adrian Smith on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

The turn card was the {4-Clubs} and Farrell checked again to Smith who bet 2,500. Farrell sprang the check raise to 6,700. When Smith asked to see his stack he saw there was around 10,000 behind.

A quick look back at his cards before they headed to the muck and Farrell picked up a decent pot without showdown.

Gruissem’s Cat. Call or Fold.

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The flop was {3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} and small blind Philipp Gruissem checked it over to Chis Da Silva who bet 2,500. Gruissem called and they both checked the turn {4-Clubs}.

The river was the {3-Hearts} and a check from Gruissem saw Da Silva take his time before betting a chunky 11,000. Off came the headphones and Gruissem was left scratching his head, vocally wondering if Da Silva could have Jacks? There was a bit of back and forth between the two players before Gruissem called.

Da Silva was bluffing with {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and as most of the table had guessed Gruissem showed {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Da Silva argued that it was a snap call but Gruissem disagreed. There followed a brief, slightly heated, discussion on the nature of reality and perception but no firm conclusions were agreed upon.

Manlove Doubles

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

James Manlove moved all in on the turn of a board reading {5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for 25,950.

There was little hesitation from Robin Fisher in calling with his {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

Manlove had the best of it though with his {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} and it held as the river {8-Clubs} completed the board.

We Three Kings

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Three players got to the river of a board reading {3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} with just over 9,000 in the pot.

Action was on Christopher Concelliere and he bet 4,500. A glum looking Andrew Purser called and Andrew Christoforou mucked.

Purser’s mood was not improved when Concelliere showed him {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} top set.

Chris Da Silva With the Ace-High River Call

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Chris Da Silva opened from under the gun for 700 and picked up one caller in Joakim Pantelis on the button.

Both players checked it to the turn of a board reading {2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Da Silva checked to Pantelis who bet 1,200, but Da Silva responded with a check-raise to 2,700. Pantelis called and they went to the river {2-Diamonds}.

A check from Da Silva saw a bet of 4,000 from Pantelis. A short time passed before Da Silva called and Pantelis reluctantly turned over his {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a missed flush draw. Da Silva had the ace-high winner with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} which got a "good call" from Pantelis.
