Daher Check-Mate

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

It has been a day to quickly forget for Albert Daher, as the Lebanese just busted the King's High Roller for the second time. Daher got it in good, with {9-}{8-} against Staszko's {K-}{10-} on a {10-}{9-}{8-} board.

Unfortunately for Daher, the river was a {K-} and he once again had to make his way to the exit.

Kabrhel Trending Down

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel is on a disastrous run since the break and has slipped below the starting stack. First, Kabrhel lost to Aviv Meiri in a big pot. Meiri held {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} on a {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs} board and Kabrhel couldn't defeat that.

In an attempt to get some back, Kabrhel squeezed to 10,000 after a raise from Vilyian Petleshkov and a call from Marian Fridrich. Petleshkov four-bet shoved all in for 36,000 and both other players folded their hands. Kabrhel is currently sitting on 32,000.

End of the Line for Araujo

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

After a raise from Vladimir Troyanovskiy, Francisco Araujo moved all in for his remaining 10,000. Troyanovskiy snap-called to put Araujo in the danger zone.

Francisco Araujo: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop didn't bring any help for the Argentinean, nor did the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Araujo was drawing dead to the remaining queens, but the meaningless {9-Diamonds} on the river didn't bring any help and ended his run.

Samuelsson and Jozonis Colliding

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Andreas Samuelsson opened on the button and Tomas Jozonis three-bet to 4,800 from the small blind. Samuelsson cut out a four-bet to 11,000 but Jozonis wasn't satisfied yet and put in a five-bet to 21,500. Samuelsson gave it plenty of thought before committing the calling chips, creating a big pot before the community cards were dealt.

Jozonis and Samuelsson slowed down postflop on a board that ran out {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{9-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds}. After three checks from Jozonis, Samuelsson finally acted with a bet of 22,000 on the river. Jozonis didn't appear too pleased with the situation and gave up after a minute of thought.
