Parra Triples; Still Running On Fumes

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Juan Parra got his entire short stack in before the flop from under the gun against two opponents, Julio Belluscio in the cutoff and another in the big blind.

The flop came {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the big blind bet 30,000. The Belluscio called.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and the big blind checked. Belluscio bet 35,000 and the big blind called.

The {2-Diamonds} fell on the river and the big blind checked. Belluscio bet again, 75,000 this time, sending the big blind into the tank. He ultimately called and Belluscio showed {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a king-high flush. The big blind mucked, and then Parra tabled {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for the nut flush to win the main pot and triple up while the dealer pushed the side pot to Belluscio.

Another Double On the Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Gustavo Prato opened with a raise to 8,000 from the hijack seat. He was called by Ernesto Panno on the button before Cluadio Marino moved all in from the small blind for 4,500. Hector Barua also called from the big blind.

On the {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, action checked to Prato who bet 10,000. Action was held up once everyone folded until Marino and Prato were both asked to show their hands.

Marino: {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Prato: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The turn was the {5-Clubs} giving Marino a straight but he still needed to fade a six to stay alive and he did on the {3-Diamonds} river, allowing him to double up to right around 20,000 chips.

Panno Doubles Through Prato On the Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mathias Duarte opened to 9,000 from the cutoff and Gustavo Prato three-bet jammed from the button with a huge stack. Ernesto Panno called from the big blind and Duarte folded. After tournament staff verified that action was complete on the other four tables, the two players tabled their hands.

Prato: {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Panno: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

Panno had a huge preflop advantage with his aces and Prato needed a lot of help from the deck to send him home. The board ran out {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} further improving Panno to the nut flush and he took the pot to double up.

Jose Moure Strikes Gin to Survive the Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Hugo Marcelo opened with a raise to 8,500 on the button. Next to act was Jose Moure who moved all in from the small blind for 13,500. Action folded back to Marcelo who called, tapping the table to wish his opponent luck.

Marcelo: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Moure: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The flop put Moure in a big hole when it came {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} but the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn was just what he needed, locking up the hand for him right there. The river was the {10-Hearts} and that would allow Moure to get a much-needed double on the bubble.

Hand-For-Hand

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With 40 players remaining, the tournament has officially reached the bubble. Play will be hand-for-hand until the money is reached.

"Flacco" Survives Thrice on the Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ernesto Panno, who's nicknamed "Flacco" or "Slim", has been short stacked since bubble play started. On his first hand he limped in for 3,000, leaving 2,000 behind. Edinson Martinez raised to 6,000, which Gustavo Prato called. Panno called all in as well for his last 2,000 chips.

Martinez and Prato checked through the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board to which Panno exclaimed "Nuts!" and slammed down his {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the nut flush allowing him to take the pot while Martinez took the side pot with {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

On his second hand, Panno moved all in again, this time Hector Barua moved all in over the top and the two were off to showdown.

Barua: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Panno: {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and that gave Panno two pair to double again.

On the last hand before break we caught up on the turn. The board showed {9-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Spades} and Panno bet 10,000 which Martinez called.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and Panno moved all in for roughly 28,000 on the river. Martinez tanked for a long time but eventually called, then mucked when Panno showed {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush, allowing him to double once again, putting him on about 85,000 chips and a stack healthy enough to survive the bubble.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and both players checked.
