PACOOP 26: $100 NLHE [Sunday Special SE], $100K Gtd

Day 1 Completed

"pokaroka31" Wins PACOOP 26: $100 NLHE [Sunday Special SE], $100K GTD for $15,020.08

Event #26 of the 2020 PACOOP: $100 NLHE [Sunday Special SE], $100K GTD took place on Sunday night, drawing 1,077 entries (653 entries, 424 re-entries) to offer a $100,000 total prize pool.

The tournament started with 206 registered players, though that number more than doubled in the first three levels of play.

Roughly one-third of the 1,077 entries recorded throughout the three and a half hour late registration period remained when the prize pool became official, and it took an hour from there to reach the money, where the top 161 were paid.

Another hour went by before the final three tables were reached, and eventually, only nine remained after "RevoltingBlob12" eliminated "CallYourMommy" in 10th place on the final table bubble.

Just over nine-and-a-half hours of play brought the number of remaining players down to one as "pokaroka31" defeated "damanwitdaplan" heads-up to claim the first-place winnings of $15,020.08

Eliminated in 2nd Place ($12,448.62)

In Level 43 (350,000/700,000/87,500), "pokaroka31" raised to 1,547,000 and then called "damanwitdaplan's" 3,500,000 three-bet to see a {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop appear.

"damanwitdaplan" continued for 2,367,750 and then called off their 8,167,111 stack after "pokaroka31" raised to 12,848,990.

"pokaroka31": {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
"damanwitdaplan": {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

"damanwitdaplan" was trailing after "pokaroka31" flopped top-pair and the {4-Hearts} turn wasn't any help.

"damanwitdaplan" was looking to spike one of the last two tens on the river but it came the {6-Hearts} ending their tournament in second place.

"3JackOFF" Eliminated in 3rd Place ($8,148.92)

In Level 43 (350,000/700,000/87,500), "pokaroka31" raised to 1,547,000 from the button and then called "3JackOFF's" 15,682,677 three-bet jam from the big blind.

"3JackOFF": {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
"pokaroka31": {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

"3JackOFF" was dominated and things got worse after the {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Spades} flop gave "pokaroka31" the nut flush draw.

The {6-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and "3JackOFF" needed a non-spade king to fall on the river to stay alive but it came the {4-Diamonds} ending their tournament in third place.

"1LordGrim1" Eliminated in 4th Place ($5,808.83)

In Level 42 (300,000/600,000/75,000), "damanwitdaplan" raised all in for 14,495,087 from the small blind and "1LordGrim1" called off their 6,311,524 stack from the big blind.

"1LordGrim1": {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
"damanwitdaplan": {j-Spades}{5-Spades}

"1LordGrim1" held the better hand and the {8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop didn't change a thing.

The {a-Spades} turn however, gave "1LordGrim1" a sweat as "damanwitdaplan" picked-up the spade flush draw.

Unfortunately for "1LordGrim1", their tournament ended after the {2-Spades} appeared on the river completing "damanwitdaplan's" flush.

"3JackOFF": {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
"RealizeRealLies": {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"3JackOFF" had "RealizeRealLies" dominated and the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} runout didn't change a thing as "RealizeRealLies" took their exit in fifth place.

In Level 41 (250,000/500,000/62,500), "RevoltingBlob12" raised all in for 4,168,951 from the cutoff and "3JackOFF" called from the button.

"3JackOFF": {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
"RevoltingBlob12": {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}

"RevoltingBlob12" held two live cards and picked-up a gutshot with the {8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop.

Unfortunately for "RevoltingBlob12", both the {q-Diamonds} turn and {3-Spades} river were bricks, ending their tournament in sixth place.

"AndrewYang2020": {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}
