Holz Gets Lucky...Then He Doesn't

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Fedro Holz
Fedro Holz

David Shallow jammed from the button for 350,000 and Fedor Holz called from the big blind.

David Shallow: {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Fedor Holz: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Shallow was still ahead after the {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop and {j-Spades} turn. However, Holz made two pair on the {q-Hearts} river to send Shallow to the rail.

The next hand, Petar Kalev opened to 60,000 from the button before Holz three-bet to 230,000 from the small blind. Kalev then jammed in his 1,550,000 stack and was snap-called.

Petar Kalev: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Fedor Holz: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Kalev four-bet jam was mistimed and he was drawing to three immediate outs until he picked up a flush draw on the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop. Kalev then leapfrogged Holz as he made two pair on the {3-Clubs} turn. The {5-Hearts} completed the board and Kalev doubled up in dramatic fashion.

On the next hand, Dylan Destefano raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and Rezaei shoved all in for around 500,000 in the small blind. Destefano quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Armin Rezaei: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Dylan Destefano: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Rezaei was unable to connect in any way, sending the last of his chips to the American poker pro.

Boghean Flips Vargas to the Rail

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Andrei Boghean opened to 60,000 in early position and Victor Vargas jammed all in for 395,000 on his left. The action folded to Tom Parsons in the big blind who gave it some thought but opted to pass. Boghean quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Victor Vargas: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Andrei Boghean: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} to give Boghean a pair of kings. Vargas was down to just two outs and the {7-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {5-Clubs} on the river helped him in any way.
