Day 1cd Completed

Confirmed: The PokerStars Summer Series is a Hit!

After another grueling day of poker in Event #1: $550 No Limit Hold’em at the PokerStars Summer Series at Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia the dust has settled and just 25 players remain from Flight 1c.

The day was off to a hot start with over 100 entrants before Level 3 even started. By days end the total number of entrants skyrocketed to 200 for just this morning’s flight. The $200,000 guarantee also broke about halfway through the day with two more flights still left to be played. There is now a real possibility that the guarantee will be doubled after the Saturday morning flight which is sure to be packed.

The day saw tons of action and chips moving hands. There were plenty of big stacks being put into bags at the end of the night but it appears that John Cipriano (578,000) has bagged the chip lead for both his flight and the whole tournament thus far. Cipriano was the recipient of a large pot late in Day 1c when he called a four-bet jam and rivered a straight with his Ace-King. He will hope to continue the run-good in Day 2.

There were plenty of players that will still be entering day 2 right on Cipriano’s heals. Among the other players to bag big were Soukha Kachittavong (569,000), Andrew Porter (451,000), Brett Brashers (430,000), Edward Leonard (411,000), and Donald Bell (363,000).
