Leonard Leads Stacked Super Tuesday Final Table

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Fresh from winning his twelfth World Championship of Online Poker title yesterday, Patrick "pads1161" Leonard has a golden opportunity tonight to make it lucky number 13, and draw level with three other players tied for second in the all-time WCOOP standings.

He will start the WCOOP 51-H: $5,200 NLHE [Super Tuesday High Roller] final table as the chip leader, with 37 total WCOOP titles at the final table. He leads from Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden and Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi (five titles apiece) who are the only other players above one million in chips.

Vladimir “SerVlamin” Minko and Leon "RUMUKULUS" Sturm have both one two titles so far this year — will they make it a hat-trick at the Super Tuesday final table?

The remaining nine players have all locked up $11,691 and the winner of this 75-player field will walk away with $101,216.

Bruschi in Pole Position for PLO8 World Championship

Renan Bruschi
Renan Bruschi

The $1,050 World Championship of PLO8 is down to its final seven players, with Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi holding a commanding chip lead. Bruschi bagged 12,617,522 chips — more than double the average stack — as he eyes what would be an eighth career WCOOP title.

The event drew 165 entries, generating a $165,000 prize pool. The winner is set to receive $33,376, while everyone left has already locked up $6,392.

The finale features a mix of established stars and dangerous grinders. “FONBET_RULIT” and “soumi7” are both sitting comfortably in second and third.

Tyler “Juicy_J_93” Jardine and Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi add plenty of high-stakes pedigree to the line-up, with Shakerchi a regular in both online and live super high rollers. Finland’s “h3pp4p01k4” is the short stack but still in contention.

The $5,200 NLHE 6-Max Championship was one of the marquee events of WCOOP 2025, featuring a $650,000 guarantee. With 157 entries, the prize pool climbed to $785,000.

After a talent-packed final, Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche secured his first WCOOP title, banking $135,555 after a three-way deal. Nitsche, a four-time WSOP bracelet winner and SCOOP champion, now has his WCOOP silverware.

Fresh off a $212K score in the $10K Super High Roller, Leonard “Grozzorg” Maue nearly went back-to-back but had to settle for $130,401 in second. Johannes “Jepser8” Straver rounded out the top three with $106,423.

The final also featured some of the most feared names in the online game. Marcelo “marceloaziz” Aziz finished fourth for $70,157, while fellow Leon “RUMUKULUS” Sturm added another deep run in fifth. "Sxmon" (sixth) and Jans “Graftekkel” Arends (seventh) completed the final table line-up.

Leonard Maue

The $10,300 Super High Roller PKO (WCOOP 38-H) attracted 59 entries for a $590,000 prize pool. Leonard “Grozzorg” Maue came out on top, collecting $212,667 — made up of $87,354 in prize money and $125,313 in bounties — for his second WCOOP title.

The final table was stacked with crushers. Niklas "Lena900" Astedt, Andy "BowieEffect" Wilson, and Vladimir "SerVlaMin" Minko were all in contention, with Minko narrowly missing out on what would have been a third WCOOP title of the series.

Another standout was Ilya “Leqenden” Anatskiy, who put together a remarkable run by making both the $1K Sunday High Roller (WCOOP 38-M) and the $10K Super High Roller final tables on the same night.

Patrick Leonard Breaks Through for 12th WCOOP Title

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

After several deep runs and near misses earlier in the series, Patrick “pads1161” Leonard finally returned to the top of the podium by winning the $109 NLHE Sunday Kickoff (WCOOP 36-M) for $28,023.

Leonard navigated a field of 1,866 entries to secure his 12th career WCOOP title, strengthening his case as one of the most accomplished players in online poker history. The victory edges him closer to some of the all-time greats: he now sits one title behind Denis Strebkov, Tobias Leknes, and João Vieira, and three back from record-holder Benny Glaser.

The win comes as redemption after Leonard had already racked up a handful of close calls in the early stages of this year’s WCOOP. This time, he sealed the deal, outlasting "zmye" heads-up, with "Gaelito23" completing the podium finishers.

Leonard Moves to 12 WCOOP Titles as Nitsche and Maue Headline High Roller Wins

wcoop

It was another busy day at the 2025 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) on PokerStars, with no shortage of storylines from Monday, September 15.

The headline belonged to Patrick "pads1161" Leonard, who bagged his 12th WCOOP title in the $109 Sunday Kickoff for $28,023. The win moves him to fifth on the all-time leaderboard, now just one behind Denis Strebkov, Tobias Leknes, and João Vieira, and three shy of record-holder Benny Glaser.

High roller fans were treated to fireworks across the schedule. Leonard "Grozzorg" Maue scooped the biggest prize of the day with $212,667 in the $10,300 Super High Roller PKO, his second WCOOP crown, and later finished runner-up in the $5,200 6-Max Championship. That event was taken down by Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche, who claimed $135,555 and his long-awaited first WCOOP trophy after a three-way deal.

There was also a double dose of Sunday majors. Jakub "Olorionek" Michalak secured his second title in the $1,050 Sunday High Roller PKO, banking $104,033, while "MASTERALI 27" topped a mammoth 9,946 entries in the $109 Sunday Million PKO for $87,803 and a first WCOOP win.

Pot-Limit Omaha specialists were in the spotlight too. Brazil’s Dante "dantegoyaF" Goya added a third WCOOP title in the $215 5-Card PLO, while "Orlandinho33" captured the $2,100 edition for $43,970.

Progressive Knockouts dominated much of the rest of the day’s schedule. Marcelo "marceloaziz" Aziz, "99dm84", and "CraibabyCrai" were among those to celebrate victories, while a raft of players including "daniel_pones", "Gelatoalcafe", "Aleks_20_a", "Jorkaris", "macthemac67", and "XRVRF15HX" all became first-time WCOOP champions.
