Jasthi Kumar's All Heart

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

A pot of 14,000 was already built up when action checked to Jasthi Kumar on the button, facing a {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board. He bet 5,100, and the small blind called, while the lojack folded.

The {q-Hearts} hit the river, and the small blind checked again. Kumar bet 15,000, enough to put his opponent all in for his last 14,000. The small blind elected to fold, and Kumar showed his {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} before raking in the pot.

One for Catrific

Cat Valdes

Action folded around to Evan Jarvis on the button and he put in a raise to 1,300. Cat "Catrific" Valdes, who late last month caused quite the controversy in the WSOP Circuit Bally's, called from the small blind and it was heads-up action to the {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop.

Both players checked and the {a-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Valdes check-called a bet of 1,200 and then checked for the third time when the {a-Hearts} paired the board on the river.

Jarvis checked behind and mucked his hand when Valdes rolled over the {k-Spades}{2-Spades} for aces and deuces.

Moreno Makes The Right Fold

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

With 7,300 already in the pot, Chicago's Jason Mangold checked a {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop over to Poker Vlogger Johnnie "JohnnieVibes" Moreno in the cutoff, who bet 3,000. Steve Nevius jammed for 25,700 on the button, and Mangold tanked for a bit before tossing his hand in the muck.

"Can I say what I have?" Moreno asked the dealer, who nodded. "I have jack-ten of clubs. I'm just worried you have higher clubs."

Moreno thought for a bit longer, then said, "I'll play good," and mucked his {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} face-up.

Nevius showed {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a bigger flush draw and a pair, and Moreno celebrated his good laydown.

Diamonds are Kerstetter's Best Friend

Jamie Kerstetter
Jamie Kerstetter

With 4,000 in the pot and a flop of {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, LFG Podcast co-host Jamie Kerstetter checked from the small blind and her opponent in middle position bet 2,000.

Kerstetter called and then check-called a bet of 5,000 on the {7-Diamonds} turn, which left her just 4,200 behind.

When the {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Kerstetter moved all in and her opponent called. Kerstetter rolled over the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the nuts and her opponent mucked.

Beesley Gets A Loose Call

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player UTG had just four-bet Phil Beesley in the hijack to the tune of 10,000, and Beesley responded with a five-bet shove for 20,800.

"Why did I do this?" The UTG player said with a sheepish grin. After contemplating it for a minute, he tossed in a reluctant call.

Beesley: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}

Beesley locked up the hand on the turn of a {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board to secure a double-up.

Boriolo Gets Some Side Pot Value

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

The big blind checked a {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop over to a player UTG, who jammed for his last 3,800 into a pot of 4,000. John Boriolo, who won the $440 Mini Main Event here last week, called from UTG+1, as did the big blind.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the turn, and the big blind checked. Boriolo bet 3,000, and the big blind called.

The big blind checked again on the {6-Diamonds} river, and Boriolo bet 5,000. The big blind called again, and Boriolo rolled over {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. The big blind flashed his {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} before mucking, but the UTG player hit the river with his {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, giving him two pair and a triple-up, while Boriolo made a small profit on the side pot.

Capps Involved in Another Huge Three-Way Clash

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Three players found themselves all in before the flop, with Ricky @ratedGTO Guan at risk for 25,000 from the lojack, the button at risk for 52,000 from the button, and Jesse Capps putting both players at risk with a call from the cutoff.

Capps: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Guan: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Button: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop was filled with action, as it gave the button a pair of kings and Guan a Royal Flush draw, while Capps still held the lead with his aces. The {5-Diamonds} turn and {4-Spades} river faded the numerous outs of Guan and the button, and Capps raked in a 300 big blind pot, while Guan headed to re-enter.
