Krause's Wish Gets Granted
Level 16
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Level 8: 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Cody Krause moved all in for 8,000 in middle position and Eric Hjelmstad called in the big blind.
Cody Krause: A♦3♠
Eric Hjelmstad: A♣8♣
"I need a three," Krause said, as he found one on the 3♦Q♣A♠ flop to make two pair and take the lead. The rest of the board ran out J♠K♠ and Krause doubled up.
"Ask, and you shall receive," a tablemate told him after the hand.
The next hand, a player in middle position raised to 5,000 before Krause shoved again for 19,000 in the hijack. His opponent folded, and Krause showed K♦K♥ as he took the pot.
