Burleson Punishes the Limpers

Andrew Asher limped in on the button. "Are you going to raise?" Jeff Heiberg asked Rick Burleson.

"I haven't looked at my hand yet," Burleson replied.

"Go ahead and look," Heiberg added as he also called in the small blind.

"Yes," Burleson said, raising to 600,000 as both opponents called.

The flop came A7Q and Burleson bet 400,000. Only Heiberg called.

The J fell on the turn and Burleson only had to reach for chips before Heiberg folded.

Burleson Bets Out Asher

Jeff Heiberg raised to 700,000 in the small blind, and Rick Burleson called in the big blind.

Both players checked down the AK833 board, and Burleson showed 65 for a flush. Heiberg turned over 77 and won the pot with his seven.

Burleson and Andrew Asher then went to a flop of 43A in a limped pot between the blinds when Burleson led out for 250,000. Asher called.

The 8 turn was checked, and Burleson then bet 300,000 on the 6 river. Asher folded this time.
