Charlton Smacks the River to Leave Mize Fuming

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mark Charlton
Mark Charlton

Mark Charlton, Dave Mize, and Dylan Wetsit saw a flop of J9Q where Charlton got in his last 47,000 from the button. Mize reshoved with a nearly identical stack in the big blind, and Wetsit put both players at risk in the hijack.

Mark Charlton: J9 All in
Dave Mize: K10 All in
Dylan Wetsit: 108

Charlton had flopped two pair, Witset a straight, but Mize had the nut straight and the lead. "Don't f**king do it," Mize said as he wandered away from the table. The turn was the 3, but Charlton spiked the J on the river to make a full house.

"How much better do I have to get it in!" Mize fumed as he slammed the table in frustration. He was left with just 2,000, while Charlton tripled up.

At another table, Dan Burcham has increased his stack to around 140,000. "Just had set-over-set," Burcham said.

"And rivered quads," tablemate Arlie Brandvold added.

"The Godfather" Sends One Out

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A player under the gun moved all in for 20,000 and Ken Lybeck reshoved in middle position. "Come on, aces" Rick Burleson said as he peeked at his cards in the big blind, but he quickly folded.

All-In Player: 88 All in
Ken Lybeck: 1010

Lybeck had his opponent dominated, and the 432910 board improved him to a set to send his opponent to the rail.

"That's the Godfather. He's a legend," a tablemate said about Lybeck.

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Eric Kraft and Alan Curl went to a flop of 2A4 when Kraft got in his last 68,600 from early position. Curl put him at risk in the hijack.

Eric Kraft: AA All in
