Butler Fades a Flush

Level 6 : 200/400, 75 ante
Greg Butler
Greg Butler

We found Greg Butler putting a shorter stack at risk on a flop of {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Butler: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {10-Clubs} and {8-Clubs} turn and river were blanks for Butler's opponent, and he headed for the registration desk to reenter.

Players are on break for 15 minutes.

Lee Settles for Another Chop

Level 6 : 200/400, 75 ante

Bernard Lee bet 1,425 against three opponents on a {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, and the player on the button called. The small blind moved all in for 4,975, one player folded, and Lee and the player on the button both called. A {5-Diamonds} turn prompted 3,000 from Lee and a call by the player on the button. Lee put the last 5,375 in on the {7-Clubs} river, and his opponent thought briefly before calling.

Lee showed {8-Spades}{6-Spades} for a straight, but his live opponent had the same straight with {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. The all-in player revealed {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for two pair, and Lee and the player on the button chopped the pot.

At another table, Jordan Morgan doubled up with {j-Spades}{10-Spades} when he made top two against a hand we didn't see.

Straight Flush for Salaburu

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Rob Salaburu, pictured in a different event.
Rob Salaburu, pictured in a different event.

Rob Salaburu got all in on the river on a board of {6-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and was called by his opponent. Salaburu showed {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a straight flush, and his opponent mucked. The floor was called and the hand was turned over, per tournament rules: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

"Worst card in the world," Salaburu's opponent muttered. "Completed everything..."

Salaburu, a former Main Event final tablist, has more than $1 million in career cashes.

Unlucky Turn for Lee

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Three players saw a {3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop for 1,850, and Gerald Kahl checked to Bernard Lee, who bet 1,650. Both of Lee's opponents called, and an {8-Spades} turned. Kahl checked again, and Lee bet 4,150. The third player called, and Kahl pushed all of his chips in. Lee instantly announced all in as well, and the third player folded.

Kahl: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Lee: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Kahl had gotten lucky on the turn with trips, leaving Lee with one out. He didn't get there as the {j-Diamonds} finished out the board.

Martin Gets Paid

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Dan Martin raised to an unknown amount from the cutoff after an opponent bet a {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} board, and the bettor made the call. On the {3-Hearts} river, Martin bet 6,200 after his opponent checked. The player took a couple of minutes before tossing in a call, and Martin rolled over {k-Spades}{4-Spades} for a turned flush.

At another table, Bryan Campanello busted his first bullet. He said he ran kings into aces.
