RGPS Cleveland to Feature Over $500K in Guarantees Sept. 22-Oct. 2

Once the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) wraps up its Bay Area stop at Graton Casino, it will to Jack Cleveland Casino in Ohio for the very first RGPS Cleveland, which will feature the $800 buy-in RGPS Cleveland Main Event with a $250,000 guarantee.

The Main Event will consist of three starting flights, the first of which will get underway on Sept. 29. After Day 1b on Sept. 30 and Day 1c on Oct. 1, Day 2 will take place on Oct. 2. and play down to a winner, who will get the bulk of the guaranteed prize pool and take home the RGPS trophy.

The RGPS Cleveland stop, set to run Sept. 22-Oct. 2, will also feature over $500,000 in guarantees and a handful of side events that will see the winner's taking home Championship Rings, which were recently reintroduced by RGPS.

Hoffmire Wins With a Full House

Nearly the entire table was involved with 3,200 in the pot and {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} on the board when action checked to a player in the cutoff. The cutoff bet 1,600 David Hoffmire called from under the gun while the rest of the table got out of the way.

Both remaining players checked the {10-Spades} turn to see {q-Spades} on the river. Hoffmire bet 3,000 and his opponent called.

"Full house," Hoffmire said as he turned over {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for deuces full of queens.

His opponent shook his head and tapped the table after he tossed the losing hand in the muck.
