Stapleton Chips Back Up

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Joe Stapleton
Joe Stapleton

Joe Stapleton informed the PokerNews team that he finally won a flip to double-up to near the 100,000 mark.

Stapleton had {a-}{q-} and his opponent had {j-}{j-}. The board ran out with help for Stapleton and he secured the rare double.

"I don't know how to play a stack this size," Stapleton said after stacking up the chips. "I can shove eight big blinds over and over, but I don't know what to do with 30 of them."

Coffman Pressures Stapleton, Bows Out Soon After

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joe Stapleton raised to 4,000 and a player on the button called before Kevin Coffman shoved for around 40,000. Stapleton folded in a disappointed manner and the button followed him into the muck to give Coffman the pot.

A short while later, Coffman stopped by the PokerNews desk to advise that he had busted out when his bluff shove ran into trips.
