Nguyen Shows The Bluff

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up on the flop between an opponent in the small blind and Ha Nguyen on the button.

The flop read {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and the small blind checked to Nguyen who bet 1,000 which his opponent called.

The turn {10-Spades} saw the small blind lead for 2,500 which Nguyen called.

The small blind checked the {10-Hearts} river and Nguyen took the initiative, betting 6,000. His opponent folded and Nguyen flashed {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for just queen-high as he raked in a pot.

Rathe Raises Flop

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A player in first position raised to 600 which saw the button call and in the big blind, Mark Rathe three-bet to 1,800 which both players called.

The flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} saw action check to the button who bet 2,200. Rathe responded by raising to 7,500 which saw the under the gun player fold and the button go into the tank.

After looking over Rathe a few times and counting his chips, he tossed his hand into the muck, ceding the pot to Rathe.

Kellen Seeks A Second Bag

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A player raised to 900 on the button and Anthony Kellen defended his big blind.

The flop of {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts} saw action check through to the {6-Clubs} turn where Kellen bet 2,000 and his opponent called.

The river {k-Spades} checked through where the button turned over {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a pair of twos which was no good against Kellen's {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks.

Kellen now sits with over 38,000 and he is looking for a better bag today than the 1,000 that he bagged on Day 1a.
