Kaleb Dunn opened to 65,000 in the hijack and saw Dakotah O'Dell three-bet to 145,000 in the small blind. Dunn four-bet jammed with effective stacks of close to 2 million apiece, and O'Dell thought for half a minute before folding.
With the pot, Dunn is now above 2 million and O'Dell finds himself below that same mark.
Kaleb Dunn opened in the cutoff and saw Dakotah O'Dell defend his big blind. O'Dell check-called a bet on the flop and action checked through the turn and the river.
Dunn showed for a pair of tens, good for the small pot at showdown. A few hands prior, Dunn was also seen tabling two aces at showdown for another pot against O'Dell.
After the pair of big pairs, Dunn is now approaching 2 million, while O'Dell has dipped down to 2.2 million, still the largest among the 11 remaining players.
Guanyun Cheng opened under the gun and action folded around to Nate Steuer in the big blind, who defended.
The flop came and Steuer led out with roughly a pot-sized all-in bet, which Cheng wasted no time calling.
Steuer:
Cheng:
Steuer had opted for a stop-and-go with a flopped top pair, but he was up against another top pair with a better kicker and a heart draw. The turn and river did not improve him, ultimately giving Cheng a flush en route to his departure from the tournament in 12th place — another deep run after he was the champion of the RGPS Council Bluffs $420 Golden Ticket Main Event this past November.
Shem Yusuf was in the big blind and saw an open to 65,000 and a call before Nick Barksdale three-bet to 220,000 in the small blind. Yusuf re-jammed in the big blind for a bit more than 300,000 and action folded back to Barksdale, who called.
Yusuf:
Barksdale:
The runout was all Barksdale, with a ten on the flop and a paired board on the turn to give him a full house and eliminate Yusuf in 13th place.
Dan Dykhouse open-jammed in the hijack for around 500,000 and ClubGG Qualifier Vicki McKee immediately dropped two chips onto the felt thereafter from the cutoff. All remaining players folded.
"Do you have aces?" asked Dykhouse, given the quick nature of McKee's call. He showed as McKee told him that she did not have aces. Instead, she had , the hot hand at the table over the past 90 minutes.
"That hurts," remarked Dykhouse, having been on the wrong end of a hand with pocket nines earlier for a large pot. Unfortunately for him, McKee's nines bested his sixes as the runout changed nothing and resulted in him taking 14th place.
Guanyun Cheng opened to 65,000 in the cutoff and saw calls from both Dakotah O'Dell in the small blind and Nick Barksdale in the big blind.
The flop fell and action checked to Cheng, who made a continuation-bet of 125,000. O'Dell called and then Barksdale check-raised to 310,000. Cheng folded and O'Dell called.
The turn came and O'Dell checked again. Barksdale counted out a bet of 490,000 and put it onto the felt. O'Dell check-shoved for Barksdale's remaining 740,000 effective, sending Barksdale deep into the tank.
Over three minutes passed, with Barksdale stating he had flopped top two pair. Eventually, he laid it down.
"Good fold," said O'Dell without showing his holdings.
Rob Palacios opened to 90,000 in the hijack and Travis Bettcher re-jammed for 355,000 in the small blind. Palacios immediately announced a call and showed Bettcher the bad news.
Bettcher:
Palacios:
"Nice hand," Bettcher acknowledged. "It happens," he added of his tournament fate as the runout resulted in him taking 15th place in the tournament.
