Robinson Doubles After Break

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Brandon Robinson was on the button and shoved for 13,000 over a middle-position limp. The big blind found a call, and then the limper folded.

Robinson: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Robinson found four fewer outs to fade as the flop {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} gave him the nut-flush draw. One card later, that draw completed as {3-Diamonds} came on the turn, and the river {2-Diamonds} fell behind to complete the runout and make his double official.

Zhukov Leaves Reynolds Short

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Aleksei Zhukov limped in from early position and was raised to 2,500 by Iowa's all-time tournament earnings leader William Reynolds, who was in middle position. Action folded back to Zhukov, and he called.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Zhukov checked to Reynolds, who continuation-bet 3,000. Zhukov called.

The turn was {9-Hearts} and Zhukov checked again. Reynolds fired a second barrel of 5,500 and Zhukov called.

The river fell {j-Hearts} and Zhukov checked for a third time. Reynolds thought for a while and then turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Zhukov showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a rivered aces and jacks, and Reynolds tilted his head back in slight disbelief as the pot was sent to Zhukov, leaving Reynolds with 7,500 after the hand was over.
