With over $800,000 in career live earnings, Greg Jennings is no stranger to the RunGood Poker Series, and to tournament poker as a whole. After not being seen in action during Friday night's Day 1a, Jennings is in the room and looking to make a run in the RGPS Council Bluffs $575 Main Event.

Schmidtlein Jams the Turn

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Steve Federspiel opened to 900 in early position and received a call from John Schmidtlein in middle position. Action folded around to the big blind, who defended, and the three saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}.

The big blind checked to Federspiel, who continuation-bet 900 and received two calls. The turn came {5-Diamonds} and both the big blind and Federspiel checked. Schmidtlein slid forward his remaining 12,500 and the big blind folded, sending action back to Federspiel, who thought for about 15 seconds before letting his hand go as well.

Petree Cracks Aces To Double

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Chase Petree
Chase Petree

All of the chips went into the middle preflop with Chase Petree ultimately committing his stack of 16,100 on the button and receiving action from an opponent in middle position.

Petree: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Petree needed a queen and immediately found one on {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. With both players holding two red cards, the turn {6-Spades} brought sweat to a backdoor flush draw. Petree had to fade two outs once more to double with his set of queens, and he did just that as the {k-Spades} completed the runout.

Bruessel Takes It on the River

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was around 4,000 in the middle on a board reading {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and action was heads up between the hijack and Joel Bruessel, who was in the cutoff.

The hijack bet 3,000 and Bruessel "clicked it back," making it 6,000 total. The hijack thought for a while and then called.

The river came {2-Spades} and the hijack checked. Bruessel put another 4,000 onto the felt, and his opponent remarked that he could not call before sending his cards to the muck.

Robinson Shows a Boat

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

A player in early position open-limped and Zachary Robinson limped behind in middle position. The cutoff then raised to 500 and Guanyun Cheng called on the button, as did both blinds. The original limper and Robinson also called.

"Six players," said the dealer before fanning a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Three checks put action onto Robinson and he bet 1,200. Cheng and the big blind were the only callers, halving the number of players to the turn {q-Spades}, where the three remaining players in the hand all checked.

The river came {q-Diamonds} and the big blind bet 2,500. Robinson raised to 7,000, Cheng instantly folded, and the big blind called to take the hand to showdown.

Robinson tabled {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a flopped set that became a full house after two queens completed the board. His opponent flashed {q-Clubs} and then mucked his hand, earning Robinson the pot.

"Ask and You Shall Receive"

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

John Dace was down to his last 1,100 and open-jammed in early position. The hijack and cutoff both called, and then the big blind three-bet to 5,300, isolating the other two players out of the pot.

Dace: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Big Blind: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Dace's odds went from bad to worse on the flop {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}, but the turn {j-Hearts} gave him outs to life via a backdoor gutter to Broadway.

"Ten!" exclaimed Dace, and the dealer brought {10-Spades} to complete the runout and improve him to the best hand, scoring a quadruple in the process.

"Ask and you shall receive!" said a tablemate, and the pot was shipped Dace's way.

Aces Up for Snook

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Matthew Snook

Under the gun pumped it up to 600 and action folded around to the player on the button, who called. Matthew Snook called in the small blind as well, and the big blind came along to take postflop action four ways.

Snook led out for 1,600 on {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and the big blind called. The original raiser and player on the button then folded.

Action continued heads up to the turn {7-Clubs} and Snook bet another 2,200. His opponent called, and Snook fired 2,200 again on the river {5-Spades}. His opponent called once more.

Snook showed {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flopped two pair, aces and sixes. His opponent mucked and the pot was shipped his way.
