Lowery the New Chip Millionaire with Elimination of O'Dell

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Daniel Lowery
Daniel Lowery

Dakotah O'Dell was just seen leaving the tournament area and Daniel Lowery now has the massive stack that O'Dell once had.

As told by Lowery, O'Dell raised to 25,000 preflop and Lowery called.

On the {k-}{7-}{4-} flop, O'Dell bet 30,000 and was raised to 61,000 by Lowery.

O'Dell called, then on the {8-} turn, O'Dell checked, Lowery bet 80,000, and O'Dell check-raised all-in for 330,000.

Lowery called and showed {7-}{7-} for a flopped set, while O'Dell only had {k-}{q-} for top pair and was drawing dead before a {a-} fell on the river.

Dakotah O'Dell's table was broken and his new one may be even worse for the one-time massive chip leader.

He now has the aggressive Daniel Lowery to his left, who has him covered and is using his chips well.

In a recent hand on the {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, Devin Arnone checked his small blind, O'Dell bet 40,000 into a pot of just under 100,000, and was met with an all-in bet from Lowery for approximately 400,000 effective, having both opponents covered.

Arnone quickly folded, but O'Dell took a bit of time before releasing his hand to survive with now under 400,000 chips, while Lowery is approaching 700,000.

Adams Rebuilds With Elimination of Harp

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Marsha Adams raised on the button and was met with an all-in bet from Todd Harp for 80,000, which she snap-called.

Todd Harp: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Marsha Adams: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, as Adams' aces held to bring a needed boost to her stack.

Another Chip Leader Struggling

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

As mentioned, it's been a rough start for Dakotah O'Dell, but he's not the only Day 1 chip leader spinning their wheels to start the day.

Marsha Adams recently lost a pot when Christopher Livesay check-called a 40,000 chip bet from her on a turn board of {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, then after checking down the river, Livesay showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the winner while Adams could only show the {4-Hearts}.

Rough Start for O'Dell

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Dakotah O'Dell

Day 1 chip leader Dakotah O'Dell is having a bumpy start to the day, first losing a large pot to Brandon Hoerl, when he flopped top pair with {k-}{q-} and ran into Brandon Hoerl's {a-}{a-} after getting it all in on the flop.

Then in a smaller, more recent pot, O'Dell was in the small blind three-handed, when on a {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop he called a 17,000 chip bet from Ryan Bevenue in the cutoff, as did Rodney Spriggs on the button.

The players checked through the {6-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river, where Bevenue turned up {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for the winner with a pair of nines.

Despite the losses, O'Dell's stack is still one of the largest in the room.
