On a turn board of {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Travis Speck called a turn bet in the cutoff and gave his opponent in middle position a "nice hand man" before the dealer dropped a double board pairing {j-Clubs} on the river.

With about 15,000 now in the pot, the middle position player bet 3,000. Speck then announced a raise to 10,000, which his opponent called.

"Jacks full" announced Speck as he showed {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a rivered full house and the win.

Day 1a Field Already Surpassed

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

The tournament clock shows 134 entries as level 4 gets underway, meaning that before the first break of the day, more players have entered Day 1b than all of Day 1a.

With another flight still to come at 6 p.m. local time, the $100,000 guarantee in the event could be doubled by the time all is said and done.

Mark Lafata
Mark Lafata

With approximately 17,000 in the pot on a completed board of {8-Spades}{q-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Mark Lafata bet 13,000 from the cutoff into his opponent on the button.

His opponent went into the tank for about a minute before releasing his hand to send a pot to Lafata that gets his stack healthily back over its starting point.
