Holloway Gets Sticky With Sixes

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jesse Tinsley opened to 6,000 preflop and was called only by one Chad Holloway to go to a flop of J♥6♦4♦.

Tinsley continued for 5,000 and Holloway quickly made the call for the duo to see the 9♠ appear on the turn. Tinsley fired again for 6,000, but Holloway wasn't going anywhere and stuck around to see the 8♠ on the river.

The action then went check-check and Tinsley tabled A♦K♥ for ace-high but then Holloway flipped over 5♥6♥ for a pair of sixes to take down the pot, much to Tinsley's chagrin.

Before the flop, short-stacked Kulwant Singh moved all in for his last 10,000, and one player behind him made the call, but then Harley Brooks shoved over the top for much more.

The other player begrudgingly folded his hand while the other two tabled their cars, with Singh's tournament life on the line.

Singh was slightly ahead going into this flip with his pocket fours, but the flop of 3♥A♣8♠ quickly dashed his hopes of survival as Brooks took the lead. The runout of 8♣10♠ failed to save Singh and he was eliminated as Brooks took down the pot.
