After calling a turn bet of 2,000, Kris Burchfield led out for 8,500 when the river completed the board of J♦6♣8♦8♣7♥ and the action was then on Andre Allen.
"Man, I really don't think you have an eight," Allen told him after some thought and decided to make the call.
"Straight," Burchfield announced as he turned over 9♦5♣ for a rivered gutterball straight to beat Allen's jack-ten.
With registration officially closed for the morning flight of the Main Event, a total of 141 players entered with 63 of them still remaining.

His opponent quickly surrendered his hand to award the pot to Ellis to increase his stack to 80,000.

On a heads-up completed board of 7♦9♥3♥2♠K♥, there was around 20,000 in the middle when Michael Episcopo bet 20,000 after a check from Jon Swift.
Swift then went deep into the tank, checking and re-checking his cards, torn between his decision. He eventually elected to make the fold, showing A♥A♦, which got some looks from the table but Episcopo showed no rection as he raked in the pot.
