Stokes Shoves into Moneymaker

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

After a raise preflop from Chris Moneymaker and a call from Robert Stokes, the two went heads-up to a flop of {10-}{8-}{5-}.

Moneymaker continued for 5,000 but then Stokes shoved into him for around 30,000. Moneymaker quickly called off the bet, putting himself at risk.

Chris Moneymaker: {q-}{10-}
Robert Stokes: {5-}{5-}

Stokes' set of fives was massively ahead of Moneymakers's pair of tens, and the turn {2-} left him drawing dead. The river came a meaningless {3-} and Moneymaker vowed to return as he headed to the rebuy desk.

Lukina Smashes Turn

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Katerina Lukina
Katerina Lukina

After a series of betting, Katerina Lukina found herself all in against her shorter-stacked opponent.

Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Katerina Lukina: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Lukina was already ahead with her superior ace, but the flop of {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} put her in second as her opponent hit his nine. Lukina's luck then changed when the {10-Clubs} hit the turn to give her the but flush and left her opponent drawing stone dead.

The meaningless {5-Hearts} completed the board and Lukina was pushed the pot for a double up as her opponent was sent to the rail.

Sturgeon Gets his Wish

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a multi-way flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Joshua Warner checked to Bruce Sturgeon who bet out 1,400 and was called by Christopher Conrad.

Warner then check-raised to 4,500 and sent the action back to Sturgeon, who then proceeded to move all in. Conrad quickly got out of the way and Warner snap-called, putting himself at risk.

Joshua Warner: {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Bruce Sturgeon: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

"Pair the board!" Sturgeon declared as he realized he was behind Warner's fliopped straight. Well, Sturgeon got what e asked for as the {6-Clubs} on the turn immediately gave him a full house and left Warner drawing dead.

"Wow, unbelievable," Warner sighed in disbelief as he was sent to the rail while Sturgeon stacked his new chips.
