Harris Holds

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Short-stacked Dominic Daulton moved all in preflop and was called by Brodie Harris. The cards were then on their backs, with Daulton at risk.

Dominic Daulton: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Brodie Harris: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Harris was ahead going into this flip, and the board of {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} kept it that way to award him the pot as Daulton was sent to the rail.

Dandrea Calls With Kings

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Level 10: Blinds 1,000/2,000/2,000

On a heads-up completed board of {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, there was already 50,000 in the pot when Nolan Burton bet out 21,000.

The action was then on Chris Dandrea, who went into the tank. After a minute or so, he decided to make the call and was shown {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} from Burton for a rivered pair of queens. But then Dandrea flipped over {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for a superior pair of kings to take the sizeable pot.

Jason vs Jason

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Level 9: Blinds 1,000/1,500/1,500

Jason Gwinn opened to 4,000 from under-the-gun and received 3 friendly callers.

The flop came out {9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the action was checked around to Gwinn, who continued for 8,000. This time only Jason Rogers made the call, and the two went heads-up to the turn {j-Hearts}.

Both players decided to check through to the river {5-Diamonds} and the action was checked through once more. Gwinn then tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for two pair, queens and jacks, which was good enough to win the pot as Rogers mucked his hand.

Foley Gets There, On the River?

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Level 7: Blinds 500/1,000/1,000

After a raise to 3,000 preflop, 3 players went to the flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

Roberts and Loch both checked, followed by a bet of 4,000 from Foley. Roberts made the fold and Loch called to see the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

Loch then check-called again after a bet of 7,000 from Foley and the two went to the river {4-Clubs}.

Loch checked once more to Foley who fired again for 10,000 which Loch snap-called.

"Set," announced Foley as he flipped over {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a rivered set of fours.

"Wow," replied Loch, "I made the right read, I knew you didn't have anything on that flop."

Loch flashed {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} before tossing it into the muck as the pot was pushed to Foley.

Level 7: Blinds 500/1,000/1,000

The first player checked to Sewell, who then bet 10,000 and was again raised by Stokes, this time to 20,500. The other player folded and when it got to Sewell he quickly moved all in for an additional 19,400.

After some pause, Stokes decided to make the call and the cards were tabled, with Sewell at risk.

Ronald Sewell: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Robert Stokes: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Sewell was well ahead with his top two pair, and the runout of {4-Spades}{7-Clubs} was clean and the 2023 Cherokee Main Event runner-up scored the double.

The fourth annual Global Poker Awards, presented by the Global Poker Index, took place at the PokerGO Studio Friday night with 27 trophies handed out, including Hustler Casino Live predictably winning Favorite Live Stream.

Angela Jordison (lead picture) was also one of the big winners on the night even though she narrowly lost out on GPI Female Player of the Year to Cherish Andrews.

Jordison, a long-time cash game player in Oregon, took down the Breakout Player of the Year award, deserved recognition for a year in which she cashed for nearly $600,000 in live tournaments, including a career best $151,544 score for third place in a $1,000 no-limit hold'em tournament at the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

If you thought her 2022 run was a fluke, she's already proven that inaccurate as Jordison has racked up $137,000 in cashes thus far in 2023, according to Hendon Mob.
