On a heads-up turn of K♥3♠9♣8♣, Michael Holmes led for 690,000 into the pot of roughly 1,400,000 and Derrick Yamada made the call.
The river came the J♦ and Holmes decided to check, and Yamada checked back.
Holmes flipped over 5♠6♠ for six-high while Yamada tabled K♥3♠ for a flopped two pair to take down the substantial pot, surging him back into the chip lead.

After some thought, Liu moved all in and Yamada snap-called to put him at risk.
"Wowww, cooler," Liu sighed as he tabled J♣8♥ for two pair, but was in second place to Yamada's flopped set with 6♦6♥.
Liu could still hit a jack or ann eight for a bigger full house, but the runout of 9♠3♠ did not do it and he was sent to the rail in fourth place.

The turn was the 8♥ and Douglas check-called another bet from Holmes, this time for 420,000. When the river fell the 9♥, Douglas led for 540,000 and Holmes quickly tossed out a calling chip.
Douglas tabled K♥J♦ for nines with king-high and Holmes flipped over J♠7♠ for a turned straight to take down the sizeable pot, increasing his chip lead.
