Seven on the River Sends Mondegari to the Rail

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Short-stacked Ken Mondegari had less than a big blind when he moved all in preflop for 17,000 and was called by Hans Schacke and Johnny Groat.

Schacke and Groat checked through the board of 23357 and the hands were tabled.

Ken Mondegari: A8
Hans Schacke: 47
Johnny Groat: 97

Schacke and Groat both hit a seven on the river, but Groat's nine-kicker played to award hin the pot, eliminating Mondegari.

On a heads-up turn of 10J4J, there was close to 300,000 in the middle when Luis Pedro bet 115,000.

Vu's Tens Run into Margers' Kings

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

After an open from Tavish Margers to 27,000, Timothy Vu three-bet to 107,000 and action folded back to Margers, who responded by moving all in.

Vu then went into the tank for a bit as he stared at his hand, unsure of what to do. After twenty seconds of this, he finally set a stack of chips into the middle to signify a call, putting himself at risk.

Timothy Vu: 1010
Tavish Margers: KK

Vu would need a lot of help to stay alive, but the flop of KJ2 left him drawing slim as Margers made top set. The turn 3 left him drawing dead and the river Q was just ceremonial as Vu said farewell to the table and headed to the exit.
