Rezaei's Rambunctious River

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After checking through the flop of 510Q, Evan Sandberg, Matthew Betti, and Daniel Rezaei saw the dealer set out the K on the turn.

Sandberg led for 4,000 but didn't produce any folds as Betti and Rezaei both called to see the A fall on the river.

Sandberg and Betti both checked, but then Rezaei announced a bet of 17,000, which left him with a single 100 chip left in his stack.

Sandberg quickly tossed in his cards but Betti thought long and hard about this decision. Eventually, he decided to let it go and the pot was pushed to Rezaei.

Gavrieli Gets Got by Grossglauser III

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

After some preflop wagering, Moshe Gavrieli moved all in and was called by Robert Grossglauser III to put him at risk.

Gavrieli needed to improve to stay alive but it was going to be tough once the dealer showed the window card to be a jack on the flop A7J to give Grossglauser III a set. Gavrieli did have some gutterball outs, but the runout of Q2 failed to get him there.

"Ahh... you are just running too hot, my friend," he said to Grossglauser III as he exited the tournament area.
