Garrett Keeps Climbing

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Nolan Garrett

Action went three-ways to a flop of 8QQ in a hand between the player in middle position, Anthony Larson on the button, and Nolan Garrett in the small blind.

It checked to middle position who bet 20,000, and Larson and Garrett both called. The turn landed the 7 and it checked to Larson who bet 45,000. Only Garrett called.

On the 7 river, Garrett led out for 85,000, a bet that represented most of Larson's remaining stack. After going into the tank, Larson eventually tossed his cards into the muck.

Jones Put in Tough Spot

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Elihu Jones raised to 17,000 under the gun and Mike Estes flatted in middle position.

The dealer put out a monotone flop of 348, Jones bet 25,000 and Estes raised to 60,000. Jones called.

The turn landed the 8 and Jones checked. Estes then moved all in to put Jones at risk who had 99,000 behind.

"Can't let too many more go," said Jones as he tossed pocket tens into the muck.

Estes flashed J10 for the flush as he dragged in the pot.

Robert Sherraden raised to 15,000 in the hijack and Craig Welko flatted on the button. The flop of 785 checked through to the J turn.

Sherraden tossed out a bet for 20,000 and Welko called, bringing the 5 river. Sherraden bet 30,000 and Welko responded with a raise to 110,000. Sherraden then reraised all in to put Welko at risk who had about 135,000 behind.

Welko thought for a moment before reluctantly making the call with 109 for the straight. He saw the bad news when Sherraden tabled 77 for the rivered full house.
