De Olivieira Flops a Straight and Gets Paid

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Dante Prado de Olivieira opened to 1,100 from under the gun and received calls from Teresa Lammie on the button and a player in the big blind.

The flop came 9KQ. The big blind checked, de Olivieira bet 2,200 and both opponents called.

De Olivieira continued for 8,000 on the 8 turn and this time only the big blind called.

On the 4 the big blind checked, de Olivieira bet 5,200, leaving just a few chips behind, and the big blind called.

De Olivieira tabled J10 for a straight. The big blind showed he had two pair with KQ before mucking his hand and de Olivieira scooped the pot.

With three players seeing a board of 427 and 2,000 in the middle a player in the small blind bet 1,000 and Mark Davis raised to 3,200 from the big blind. Michael Benton called from the cutoff and the small blind folded.

Both players checked the A turn leading to the 3 river. Davis bet 6,300 and Benton raise to 16,300. Davis called.

Benton had the nut-flush with K5 to take down the sizable early pot. Davis was left with 5,000, busted shortly afterwards and quickly reentered.
