Wells Gets His Wish
Level 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
JB Wells lost a big hand for most of his chips then got the last 2,800 in under the gun. A player in the small blind called and showed 5♦5♠. Wells had 10♣9♠ for live overcards.
The K♠3♠A♣ didn't bring much for him. The board paired on the turn, but it was a 3x, leaving Wells mistakenly calling for an ace or king. One arrived on the Ax river, but aces and fives were still best.
"Good, I didn't want to win that hand anyway," Wells said with a smile. "I'll go get more chips."
