Day 1cd Completed
RunGood Grand Prix Caesars Southern Indiana $800 Main Event continued with Day 1c on Saturday, and the alliteratively named William Willman zoomed to the front of the pack to bag 530,000. That was tops among 18 players surviving and advancing to Sunday's Day 2.
Willman won a huge pot with a set against a pair and a flush draw in the latter half of the day. Then, he busted Ken Baime one off the bubble in a race.
Other players making it through included Nicholas "Dirty Diaper" Rigby and 2023 WSOP bracelet winner Ronnie Day. Rigby endured a swingy day but managed to win more big pots than he lost to bag 262,000. Things were less lucrative for Day, who squeaked into the money with 31,000, a hair above the starting stack.
Day 1c of the tournament drew a much stronger crowd than the prior flights, as the 144 entries pushed the three-flight total to 258. Players still have one more chance to qualify for Day 2 via Day 1d.
