Rigby's River Bet Wins

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Nicholas Rigby bet 6,500, about the size of the pot, from the small blind against two opponents on a KA52 board. The big blind folded and an early-position player called. On the 8, Rigby fired again for 14,000. That won him the pot without showdown in short order.

Wells Gets His Wish

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

JB Wells lost a big hand for most of his chips then got the last 2,800 in under the gun. A player in the small blind called and showed 55. Wells had 109 for live overcards.

The K3A didn't bring much for him. The board paired on the turn, but it was a 3x, leaving Wells mistakenly calling for an ace or king. One arrived on the Ax river, but aces and fives were still best.

"Good, I didn't want to win that hand anyway," Wells said with a smile. "I'll go get more chips."

KO For Bray

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Marc Bray three-bet to 5,300 in the small blind and was tanking against a four-bet jam from a play in the cutoff. The count was 26,800.

"I wouldn't mind a double-up," the all-in player declared.

Bray decided to look him up and tabled 77. He was up against Q8.

The 23JA10 board missed both players, leaving the sevens best.
